And Marvel Steals the WTF Crown from DC

This is just… I have no words.

Well, I have some: Given Neil Gaiman’s new involvement with Marvel and the fact that he’s letting the publisher use one of his McFarlane-related characters, this has to mean that Marvelman is forthcoming, right?

    I have to say that this is almost the most ‘meh’ inducing thing I’ve ever heard. I don’t think that even the Image and Spawn fans care about Angela, so why should I? To me, Angela was the definition of a character that showed up scantily clad all the time, making me think I shouldn’t be buying these comics, much less reading them in public. Congrats Marvel, you’ve acquired an embarrasing looking, boring character that nobody born after 1995 even knows about. Love Gaiman, and have loved Marvel on and off, but seriously?

    I have to agree I find it hard to believe there’s more then a 100 people who will bother buying this for angela but neil Gaiman writing any comics is great kind of wish he was writing gotg and not bendis thou(I understand he is co writeing). I just have no interest in reading bendi’s comics anymore.

    Well, let’s face it. People born in 1995 will be graduating high school in June.

    The issue will still sell well because people are talking about it. That’s all that matters — the carnival barking.

    People will hate it, but pick up the issue “just to see what all the fuss is about.”

    Apparently, Angela will be popping up around the MU over time. Is she now Marvel’s version of Pandora? I hope they give Angela a makeover at least. Right now, she’s a ’90s relic laughingstock.

    This whole thing smells like a Macguffin. Why hasn’t Gaiman stated anything about this? No tweets, no statement. Also it’s weird that Macfarlane (and Erik Larsen who spoke out about the Angela in support of Macfaralane) have been also quiet about this.

    Add me to the list of people who are severely underwhelmed by this news. Back in the 90s, when I was a teenager, I was buying everything Spawn-related. Now? I could not care less about Angela. I skipped “Age of Ultron” and I’m glad I did, now. I’ll stick with the great stories currently being told in several of the Marvel NOW books. Let’s hope this nonsense doesn’t derail them.

    If this isn’t the “unguessable” ending and is as joe q says, like the post credits sequences in the films, what is the “unguessable ending”? and don’t tell me miracle/marvelman, since everyone is guessing that.
