Who cares? Comics are mainly liked by guys. Always have been. Always will be. Accept it. The steps necessary to attract decent #s of female readers will cause even more male readers to turn away.

This is a stupid issue. You don't see Cosmo trying to change to appeal to more guys. They just accept that it's mainly women who want to read it and try to appeal to as many women as possible.

Men and women are different. Accept it. Don't try to bully men and telling them they shouldn't like what they like. It's stupid and bullying. And it won't work. We'll read what we want.

I don't go around trying to bully women into not reading celebrity gossip.

As a woman who loves comics, I have found the stigma of a woman in a comic shop to be the biggest hurdle. I gave up for awhile because I did not feel welcome at my local shop (until I moved and found a place I love). Digital may help with that.

Just because it has a female-lead does not make it female-oriented or appealing to women. Of the above list I only read three of the titles, out of the 13 or so I read regularly.

What I'm waiting for more than anything is a female hero to have her own movie, which I doubt will ever happen.

Aren't they basically only offering one thing, though? Readers, both male and female, can choose from superheroes or superheroes.

I love superheroes, but maybe the idea of just making a female superhero the lead in a book isn't really the way to get more women to read comics.

Well how much is enough? How much is too much? Why would a certain amount of material "push the onus" onto the DM? Does how much is provided even matter at all? Where is this hypothetical market coming from? Is there any evidence to suggest it exists and is waiting for female-oriented comics to purchase?
