I’m worried it will be revealed that Tony has some alien origins. His dad and the 7 experimented on alien technology that landed in Nevada. Thus, the connection to his GOTG space adventures. Or he was the results of some experiments by his dad to design a human that could more fully integrate with machines. Thus, making Tony even more removed from humanity. I’m kinda tired of writers trying to reinvent the wheel.

That’s the thing with SHIELD. Their “Present day” is the 1950s/1960s. Tony was around his late teens/early twenties give or take when his parents both died in that crash. So there is no way Tony Stark is 80 years old. I’m of the theory that Howard had another family before he married Maria and they had Tony together.

Is there any connection between this and the stuff Hickman wrote about Howard Stark? Cause technically, Howard didn’t die. He faked his death to join S.H.I.E.L.D. … well super secret ancient S.H.I.E.L.D. I’m intrigued nonetheless.
