Marvel Teases INFINITY

So, Marvel’s Free Comic Book Day release is called Infinity, and is written by Jonathan Hickman. Who’s writing Avengers and New Avengers, which have both featured parallel Earths so far, with the latter title talking about a cosmic chain of events that sees those parallel Earths be destroyed one after another. Hmm. That choice of title sounds a little familiar, really.

I wonder if we’ll see Thanos jumping between realities, enjoying the various crises on infinite Earths in a particularly nihilistic way as he watches all of that death, like some kind of anti-monitor or something, in either Infinity or the still-untitled event that follows.

(Also, I wonder if we’ll get a return for the “Infinity Comics” format with the event that will follow this? Who wouldn’t want to read Infinity #1 Infinity?)

You know what INFINITY sounds like, a lot MORE so than CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS?

INFINITY GAUNTLET, INFINITY WAR, and INFINITY CRUSADE…hmmm.
So despite you ill-informed reach of a suggestion that Marvel is somehow copying DC- the title makes sense given the Infinity Gems have featured in Marvel stories recently and INFINITY GAUNTLET was the very well done THANOS centered tale that spawned the two craptastic sequels that followed.
