I’ve been a Scarlet Witch fan for a long time, watched the Avengers old cartoons, yes lol the one with the Power Rangers theme and have loved this couple for a long time. When was the last time we had an Avengers wedding? And no Luke Cage’s doesn’t counts. I want a second opportunity for the Scarlet Witch, this time with a real man and not with machinery, the gal has picked enough flack thru the years for being Magneto’s daughter and for being married to a computer, its time to redeem this character once and for all. I remember reading an ancient What If where Wonder Man & the Scarlet Witch marry. And as far as I know Simon never authorized the Avengers to make a computerized clone of himself so no wonder he had a beef with the Avengers, plus seeing how the Scarlet Witch has been hunted by both teams for the last years must have drawn the man insane.

@Ash Talon: this was done way before in the 80s when John Byrne was on West Coast Avengers. Vision’s body was torned apart and to rebuild it, they needed Simon’s brain patterns but he didn’t want to give them because of his love for Wanda.

I just wish they would kept the new updated costumes of Rogue, scarf instead of the old school hoodie, Sunfire’s Housemen look , and Havok even though he did look like rip of Tron as pointed out in X-Factor it was still cool looking.

That’s great that Sunfire is brought in. I love that the Avengers is multi-ethnic. Now, I’m waiting to see SHANG CHI come aboard. He was one of my favorite hero growing up. He was the Bruce Lee of the Comic world and Marvel universe. Shang is cool because he doesn’t have superpowers but with his mastering of his chi, he’s down right invincible as a regular human. And it’s time to get a chinese person in the mix, considering that there’s over a billion of them in China!

I was really hoping this team would consist more of Avengers who were also X-Men at one time or who are mutants or have a history with them, like Firestar, Justice, Carol Danvers, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Beast. Beast makes the most sense if they’re trying to make this a more PR team, since he’s become so pacifist. And Wonder Man would pair well with him. And as much as I love Cap, he and Thor and Wolverine (who’s overexposed and not the most PR friendly) don’t need to clutter this team.

Wonder Man’s inclusion makes me want to read this title. Looks like Remender is trying to repair some of Bendis’ damage (to certain character he had no interest in or didn’t “get”). I’m hoping that Remender picks up on something Busiek developed which is Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man love. Scarlet Witch fell in love with Vision but his brain patterns (essentially his personality)were based off of Wonder Man, so SW was actually in love with him. It was a great angle to all 3 characters. Let them develop into an actual couple. Their combined power would be something amazing. It would be nice to see another couple in the Avengers that doesn’t revolve around whoever Hawkeye or Black Widow is involved with.

Apocalypse brought Sunfire back to life years ago right after the decimation, made him a horseman (same team of horsemen that had Polaris as Pestilence and Gambit as Death), he was part of the Marauders for a bit as well.

Sunfire is still wearing the militaristic “sumburst” flag. This marks him as a right-wing Japanese nationalist. (Or else as a silly stereotype, but then most of the All-New, All-Different X-Men are silly stereotypes.)
