I’m recycling Bendis’ ideas from Twitter but I’d love to see what Hickman could do with a Star Wars book. The way Fraction and Aja are doing Hawkeye how awesome would a Boba Fett comic from them be? Kelly Sue DeConnick on a Mara Jade or Princess Leia comic? He’s with DC right now but I’d love to see a Paul Cornell penned Darth Vader book. Greg Pak on any Star Wars book? Gosh if any of this happened I may as well just have them direct deposit my paycheck into Marvel’s bank account.

Agreed with wanting to keep Ostrander and Duursema. We won’t get Randy Stradley at Marvel anytime soon, but I’d love to see Doug Wheatley get to do his annual Star Wars books, as an OGN or as a mini-series, even if it’s not more Dark Times.

Ironic, that DH may lose Star Wars now that they have come so close to having an ongoing series that has outlasted the original Marvel run. “Dark Times” was originally just titled “Star Wars” till issue #46, when it became “Star Wars: Republic” as DHC added a separate monthly book about the Rebellion era. After #83 it became Dark Times, following the story of a Jedi on the run after escaping his Clone attackers. The last arc was “Out of the Wilderness”, which was issue #105. (The covers don’t reflect anything but the arc numbering, but the indicia keeps the count.)

The current DH people, esp. Ostrander and Duursema. While Lucas was turning out crappy prequels, DH helped me keep my faith in Star Wars.
