This is weirdly fascinating – Sean Kleefeld compares the original printed Fantastic Four #5 with its digital and Marvel Masterworks editions:
The Masterworks edition, on the far right, is surprising in that the colors continually deviate wildly from the original – something that seems surprising, considering the archival quality. Are the original colorists still credited on these stories when their work is so ignored, I wonder?

The colors on the Masterwork reprint above are considerably different from the colors of the 2003 Barnes and Noble softcover Masterwork and those of the 2009 softcover Masterwork, which are closer (but not identical) to the colors of the original version. Ben’s pants in the 2009 version are more reddish than the orange of the original and middle reprintings, but the other colors match better.
