I agree, and the thing I am really concerned about is that Nico and chase (not including X-23) are two of the only characters in this new series that I actually care about. The fact that this book is running on the probability that there's gonna be a large body count, I'm hoping they fare better than the others. Maybe this book will be a springboard for Runaways to return. Perhaps it will be the remaining Runaways that save their teammates and go on the run again...from Arcade.

Marvel just seems determined to not treat its young heroes with much respect. And clearly the Runaways are something of an orphan.

I didn't like the Immonen run that much, but it was a lot better than either the Whedon or Moore issues. (Joss's run on Runaways was, without a doubt, the only thing he ever did that I thought was actively BAD.) I think that even though BKV clearly intended for other writers to play with his kids, he is the only person who really understood them.

Though I bet Nick Spencer could do a good job.
