But artist continuity? Yeah, that I am far more cynical about, given the past efforts of Marvel to keep creative teams together, and the increasingly meaningless definition of “regular artist” at Marvel over the last couple of years. We can only wait and see if things get better from here on out.

Air Cargo Service
www.delvi.com
Overnight Air Cargo to Panama. This service usually goes by weight and is used for documents, or any time sensitive materials you want in Panama overnight.
Air Cargo to Panama, This service usually goes by weight our daily consolidation of air cargo to Panama is a great way to share the space and save on price. We recommend cargo Under to 10 LBS be shipped by air to Panama. As container cargo usually has a $20 price tag just for customs and clearance paperworks.

@Zach If we're talking about what Alonso said, then they can have fill-in artists, just not changes to the "regular" creative team. So all the GL books would count, as would I, Vampire, Flash, Teen Titans, Batman, Detective, Batman and Robin, etc.

There's no way all the artists Alonso mentions (aside maybe Bagley and Romita, JR) log 17 consecutive issues.

As much as I'm looking forward to Posehn, Duggan, and Moore on Deadpool, when's the last time you can recall Tony Moore drawing three full issues in a row? In addition, Duggan's Infinite Horizons took three years to complete, and it was six issues long and drawn by Phil Noto, who's not an artist known for slowness.

In their defense, Duggan and Posehn's collaboration with Rick Remender, the Last Christmas, hit its marks.

Lets see Joe Mad is still working on Spider-man and Marvel knew and was open there would be a fairly large space between his first and next appearance. CBR actually posted the pencils of the spider-man story he is drawing complete with Wolverine and Elektra.

Marvel already said the Hulk Job was for the arc.

and as far as new avengers and defenders go both completed six issue arcs and kept their writers.

Also Marvel has done a pretty good job of replacing artist that transition nicely, and its not like they have been replaced with crap artist.

Kyle - trying to think of any DC books that maintained their creative teams for the first year - I can't think of any. Even the ones that allegedly have the same creative teams, like GL and Justice League, have had issues with pinch-hitting artists.

Look at what Alonso is saying, though. He's not saying that they won't need fill-in artists, just that the regular artists won't be removed from the books.

Of course, what is a regular artist? I mean, is that just the majority of the issues in a given year?

In DC's defense, Alonso names 7 titles. I'm pretty sure there are at least 7 titles from the new 52 that have maintained their creative teams through the first year. Bragging that they can maintain the creative teams on a whole 7 books is sad.

Then again, I think the need to have 52 books is about as stupid as it gets.

very few titles double ship every months. Amazing Spider-Man (if it continues to) and the announced Avengers are pretty much it. The rest, with double shipping, are probably more likely to do about 16 a year. That's a far cry from 72 issues.

Now, JRJR and Bagley both have fantastic track records for doing long runs. Allred is capable of it if he chooses, look at his X-Force/X-Statix run. And he's not the type of guy to get shuffled around. Unless the urge to do more Madman gets too strong I don't see him going anywhere. And if I remember correctly Land has had fairly decent length runs on things like X-Men and Birds of Prey.

I wouldn't be surprised to see fill-ins here and there, but I can see these artists remaining on these titles for a decent run.

I guarantee that many of these titles will not make it to three year runs before being 'cancelled' and 're-launched' with different creators. With double shipping, three years is 72 issues - remind me again what Marvel title in recent memory has made it to issue 72?
