I hold a B.S. and an M.A. and work as a high school special education teacher. I am also the father of a special needs child. In the past few years I have used comics to get students who are not interested in reading to read. The combination of art and word seems to work wonders and students respond. My daughter has leapt 3 years in reading in one year since she started reading comics regularly. There are always comics to read in Mr.C's room. Comics are not for losers. Do people still play D&D when you can just as easily login and play Neverwinter, or World of Warcrack, or any of the free-to-play games?
