In fact, it's kind of a good thing because despite what the article implies, you used to be able to pre-register at EVERY previous SDCC as long as you were willing to spend 2-3 hours in line instead of walking the floor. I like this better because at least this way, you can spend all the time at the convention and pre-register afterwards. Marc is correct. You can’t pre-register yet.
