With the latest “This is War” teaser from Marvel, now we have a better idea of what’s behind the images. As is pointed out, the heavy artillery in the Spider-Man tease matches the bullets in Iron Man’s armor from the earlier tease, and also points in the direction of Frank Castle. Oh, and how did the last Punisher solicit end?
The Punisher and Cole reach a shared conclusion. Prepare for the War Zone.
Well, now we know why all will be revealed at the Spider-Man panel; The Punisher comes out of the Spider-Man office, with Steve Wacker as editor. So, is this a “real” Punisher Vs. The Marvel Universe…?

I’ve been waiting for BleedingCool to post something like this. Had this thought since yesterday but nowhere to share it on.
One more thing: The Iron Man and Spider-Man images are drawn by Marco Checceto, the regular artist of the Punisher series.

So is this the universe altering, status quo shaking event you were whining about the other day, Graeme? For somebody who was pretty upset by these readers you seem to devote a lot of blog space to them…

Eh. Looks like a real snoozer to me.

Bet everyone whining about too many events at Marvel feels really stupid right now eh?

Here’s hoping they do this story right, and it isn’t another “Shadowland”.

Also, can I get an “Amen” for the giant “Oh great, another ‘heroes fight each other’ type event” eyeroll I had upon reading this?

ill just quote a fellow poster that was spot on a few days ago …
““Event Fatigue” is the greatest scam of a complaint to sweep the comics internet since the whiners figured out they could just keep harping on One More Day without ever reading Brand New Day. Everything that happens in a shared superhero universe is a crossover on some level. A story can’t be crappy based solely on the kind of story it is; It has to actually BE crappy. Can we go back to actually reading stuff before we complain? And anybody who thinks that Flashpoint, Batman RIP, Return of Bruce Wayne, The New 52, and Zero Month aren’t “events” is being disingenuous.”
It’s too easy , we got some folks complaining beforehand , and surprise surprise , not liking it the events they already made their mind upon , go figures .
