I gave up on Smallville before it ended, but I’m seriously considering checking this out, just because of the former Batgirl creative team. That series was great and a really unfortunate casualty of the reboot.

2 brief notes about the items DC is releasing Digitally:

1. Beyond the Fringe is just a one-shot.

2. The Arkham project is called Arkham Unhinged and it looks like it might only be a 5 issue mini but that part’s not clear yet.

Interesting variation on the costume, seems it’s more in line with David Williams design from the McG Flyby movie proposal, from ten years back.
Better design than the current outfit.
An at least we get to see the Welling Man of Steel official in costume.
I’ll check it out.

I’ll page through the issues someday, see if I still hate Smallville as much as I did when it was on, or if I’ve softened up. I wouldn’t pay to read them though

Great news! Smallville’s meant a lot to so many, so it’s cool that we get to see the early adventures of this version of Superman continue.

This is perfect! We all know how much DC loves to milk the “early years of Superman” (Man of Steel, Birthright, Secret Origins, Earth One). And as someone who had stayed with the series for ten years, I’m excited to see it continue.
