If the Phoenix returns, would she be able to life Thor's hammer and beat the Hulk? And would this also negate OMD?

Quiet! You'll spoil the end of AVX!

I like Paul's prediction!

I mean, who cares about Cable? I don't get set the name, is it supposed to sound like "extinction" because it doesn't to me.

I always feel like Jeph Loeb's fans don't really go to sites like Newsarama or other comic sites. The Loeb fans come from somewhere, but not here, which would suggest that Marvel won't even bother promoting it on the internet.

Blog@newsarama should do more "WHERE ARE THEY NOW???"-type articles about series that are selling well, three issues into their runs. Nothing tickles fans like a little bit of nostalgia!

I'm not sure Children's Crusade was ever hyped as a major event, though it does have some very important plot points (if they stick).

X-Sanction... Well, it's an extended fight scene prelude. I'm not sure there's really much there for people to discuss. My guess is that it's just heading for the obvious ironic ending where Cable not only fails, but prompts the Avengers to take an interest in Hope for the first time, thus triggering the very thing he came to stop.

I have to agree with Aaron. The series isn't really that good (still reading - I like Cable!). Where did the dues ex machina 'stark tech from the future' come from to beat Iron Man in #2?? Even if Cable is jumping from time to time to get the items needed to defeat the Avenger - time is still moving forward for himself regardless of timestream. We're to really believe he does all this in 24 hours continuous hours (in relations to himself and his nano-cancer). W/e Loeb you've written yet another convulted mess. You haven't been good since your Batman stories with Tim Sale (and where has HE been lately?)

It's Loeb, who has written nothing but predictable shit in years. Not too shocking that people aren't excited about his writing anymore.

Maybe Graeme is building the case for a larger discussion of Marvel prelude series that people find irrelevant. I remember there was not much of a discussion (except negative criticism) when Paul Jenkin's Prelude to Schism mini came out.

I think the lack of discussion about Avengers Children's Crusade can be blamed on its publishing schedule. I purchase the book and enjoy it, but I do forget that it exists until it arrives at my LCS. I keep thinking "shouldn't that have finished by now." It has been running since July of 2010. The Young Avengers, a great concept by the way, has become irrelevant because Marvel waited too long before allowing their story to progress. Sure we had the team featured in mini-series and specials, but the team was put in 'neutral'. During YA's hiatus, Avengers Academy has emerged to fill the teen Avengers role.

Also, one of the major plots of Children's Crusade has already been spoiled, the Scarlet Witch will survive and play a major role in AvX. Unless you are fan of Young Avengers, Allan Heinberg, and/or Jimmy Cheung, why should you care about the book.

Theres zero buzz about this at my LCS, too. It's suffering from that forgotten event disease that Flashpoint had by issue 3.

Most are dismissing AvX too actually. The consensus is that it's just "civil war 2" and a prelude to something else. Which begs an interesting question. If the conflict begins in X-Sanction, theoretically ends in another series or event, and the fights happen in a secondary mini -- what is left to actually happen AvX?
