Book of 2012 Already? Well, Possibly…

January 6th, 2012
Author Graeme McMillan

Well, this is just plain lovely. Chris Ryall previews Darwyn Cooke’s next Parker book for IDW:

To anyone who loves comics and hasn’t picked up Cooke’s two Parker adaptations to date, The Hunter and The Outfit, you are missing out far more than you could imagine. Just amazing stuff.

  1. Larkin Says:

Two of the best comics in the last decade. And don’t forget “Man With the Getaway Face”, the prelude to The Outfit. Great, great comics.

  2. Robert Says:

Why read this retro tripe when I could watch an exciting movie or play a video game? This is action comics for color blind people who don’t know how to program a DVR. Seriously, why would anyone waste their money on this giant fuck you?

  3. Robert Says:

It looks lovely though. I guess that’s enough, eh Graeme? Don’t bother reading it. Let me guess? They sent you a free copy?

  4. Cole Moore Odell Says:

Free copy of what, Robert? The book isn’t out until May.

  5. Robert Says:

If I wanted to read this kind of book, I would go to the movies.

Ok. So the book’s not out yet. Based upon these previews I guess we should all just place our orders now.

  6. Robert Says:

Because it’s the book of the year (?) and all.

  7. Dude Says:

    @Robert

So you read lots of books at movies? That seems like a waste of a movie. It’s cool if you don’t want to read a comic but you don’t have to act like anyone who does is stupid.

  8. Cole Moore Odell Says:

Not only is the animosity misplaced, it isn’t even coherent.
