To the surprise of no-one, the most recent trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has broken the record for the number of views within the 24 hour period following its release. According to ICv2, the trailer was viewed a staggering 12.5 million times in the day after it went live on Apple’s site, over 2 million more times than the previous record holder, Marvel’s Avengers. Of course, there’s no way of telling how many of those views came from people trying to make out what Bane was actually saying underneath that mask of his, but still: Consider the battle for 2012 superhero movie supremacy fully on.

Saw it on line and I was not impressed, saw it again this week end at the theater and nowbody was impressed, I hope this is just a bad trailer and does
not represent the actual movie.
Interesting enough the comments of other movie goers were pretty much
in sync with mine, this dark image of Batman has been juiced a bit too much,
boring at best.

Battle? What battle? Dark Knight Rises is the conclusion of the most wildly successful super-hero movie series, directed by one of the few visionaries in Hollywood. It would have to stink far beyond Green Lantern and Iron Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 combined to not set all sorts of box office records.
Yes, Avengers and Spider-Reboot will do very well. But I think Nolan has put Batman in special place.

@Gianni Good to see you’re able to read minds because you can apparently tell when everyone in your theater dislikes something.

Dude obviously I was talking about the coments I did hear from the people sitting next to me,
that said the lack of entusiam in the theater after the trailer did speak volumes.
