We’re in the 20s now, so Christmas is just around the corner. But as you’ll see by clicking through the jump to catch today’s festive four-color cover, not everyone seems to be very happy about that fact…
Tony Harris manages to somehow echo Norman Rockwell without losing his own style – Dig those airbrush effects – in this wonderful cover to Starman #27 from 1996. You might wonder why that Santa looks so afraid, but a closer glance would reveal the truth: He’s clearly just upset over accidentally misplacing his facial hair. He is an old man these days, after all, and they can be very forgetful… (And, seeing as we’re on the subject of James Robinson’s spectacular Starman right now, I’d be remiss if I didn’t use this opportunity to remind you to go out and read The Shade, available now. It’s a great book, and one I’d like to keep from cancellation, thank you very much.)
