Most major comic shops in Australia participate in FCBD.
Our shop, Impact Comics in Canberra, most certainly will. We give away thousands of comics every year.
If in doubt check out the shop locator on freecomicbookday.com closer to the date (which is 5th of May 2012,) every Australian shop that is participating will be listed.

Hopefully Free Comic Book in 2012 is better than free comic book day last year. The Free Magic comic came out in May and hyped the new Magic ongoing comic and it still is not out 8 months later. None of the free titles in 2011 got new customers excited enough to come back and actually buy comics. Magic if it would have had a follow up could have done great.

Most of the whole Silver list was underwhelming, IMO. But the Buffy/Guild flipbook will be very popular!
