If nothing else, you have to wonder Frank Springer’s cover to Marvel Two-In-One #74, way back in 1981, was the thing that got him the gig as Marvel’s original Transformers artist three years later. I mean, just look at the legs on that toy soldier! It’s Optimus Prime before he’d ever been created! Also, I don’t want to say anything bad about any other superhero out there, but is there another comic character who looks quite so good in a Santa Hat as Mrs. Grimm’s blue-eyed baby boy? Wotta revoltin’ development indeed.
