Of course I mainly followed the earliest '60s version, and as I recall he might have tried to work with them a few times, but his temper always got too out of control, so they'd tell him, "Next time, don't call us - we'll call you." Then recently I saw this animated Avengers thing, where Hulk tries yet again, but gets ticked off again, and ends up fighting some Avenger(s) again. Guess the giant green guy ain't changed much since the '60s! Don’t recall the Hulk being in the Avengers, as a regular member, that is.
