Anne Hathway in yet another Catwoman costume that isn’t a Catwoman costume

We still only have one official shot of The Dark Knight Rises actress Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman costume for the film yet tons of other regular costume shots have been showing up recently.

These first two images come from a few Celebuzz.com caught. I’m definitely getting a Catwoman: When In Rome vibe off of them as well as an Adam Hughes/Audrey Hepburn style Catwoman feeling.

The next two come via JustJared.com who caught both Hathaway and Christian Bale filming at night in Los Angeles. She’s in black again (will she wear anything but in the film?) but still not the Catwoman costume.

Looks like Mr. Wayne made Ms. Kyle angry.

She was also seen filming a fight scene earlier this week as well. I’m beginning to wonder if all the rest of her “Catwoman” scenes are being shot on closed sets. Sigh.

Those are some really classy and sophisticated outfits!

I’d rather see these clothes be a staple fashion statement for women than the scantily garbage that’s passed off as fashion that’s promoted by Lady Blah Blah, Katy Perry and their pornstar brethren.

    Nothing wrong with that. :-)

If you want really stylized, comic booky versions of these characters, the Chris Nolan films aren’t the best places to go. He always seems to prefer costumes that, while obviously fantastic, are more grounded in realism. Look at his Scarecrow: Just a guy in a suit with a burlap sack for a mask. I think more Catwoman costumes will be forthcoming but you’ll never see anything quite as cartoony as the Tim Burton version.

Man she’s pretty. Wow. Well back to waiting for the release date for this film.

  4. catsmeow12 Says:

This is the sophisticated, sexy socialite Catwoman I want to see, a high society dame who’s Bruce Wayne’s arm candy by day and an expert cat burglar by night. I hope this means she’s not a hooker in this film.

  5. David Fullam Says:

Hathaway, pretty? Her face looks like a fetus that wasn’t fully formed.

  6. shadoe eagle Says:

Hathaway, pretty? YES, Hathaway PRETTY. and depending on the angle of the shot and outfit and photographer… Beautiful, Cute, Gorgeous, even exotic with that super pale skin and HUGE dark eyes.

  7. nathan daniels Says:

This is The Catwoman (or as she was known in her first appearance, The Cat) that debuted in Batman #1 (1940) – a strong, sophisticated, fashionable woman who was also a thief.

  8. catsmeow12 Says:

^^ Also the glamourous Selina Kyle who dated Bruce Wayne in The Long Halloween and Dark Victory.

  9. Kyle Says:

The lack of shots in catsuit make me even more hopeful she will sport a whip and cowl with her costume, Nolan is waiting to surprise us with that i hope!

Selina Kyle exudes class and these outfits show that, of course she does wear other colours too when not in costume I love the elegance of it, who doesn’t look good in black!

  10. princewonder Says:

She was cast as Selina Kyle, not Catwoman. Hence, no Catwoman costume.

  11. rod_ds Says:

she looks beautiful in that costume.

  12. Kyle Says:

There is a catwoman costume hence the pictures – google it

  13. Allen Says:

    She’s delicious.

ANNE HATHWAY IS A GREAT ACTRESS. ALL I CARE ABOUT THAT THE COSTUME WORE BY HALLE BERRY DON’T MADE A RETURN APPEARANCE. I REMEMBER LOOKING AT CATWOMAN FIRST APPEARANCE THAT SHE WAS KNOWN AS THE CAT AND NOT THE CATWOMAN. THE CATWOMAN’S COSTUME DIDN’T DEBUT UNTIL SEVERAL APPEARANCE.GOOD LUCK TO THE FUTURE. YOUR TRULY CHARLES DAVID HASKELL

  15. turkish101 Says:

Pretty classy what is supposed to be a stripper.

  16. XK Says:

I like Anne, and think she is pretty, but she really didn’t take any steps to getting into shape to gain the physicality for a role as a cat burglar, did she?

  17. Michael E. Says:

Not all cat burglars are highly defined physical specimens.

Hathaway: NO! It’s the second time that he doesn’t give a f**k about what is going on in front of the camera! I’m trying to f**king do a scene here so why the f**k is he walking in there? Do you understand my mind is not in the scene if you’re doing that?

    [points at Bale]
Stay off the f**king set man. For f**ks sake.

Alright, [spits on the ground and adjusts her boobs] let’s go again.

    hey lookie its another..dramaqueendramaqueendramaqueen

  20. Bri Says:

Hathaway is way over-rated! She’s pretty, but as Catwoman? Guess we will see how she does next summer.

  21. T. Says:

Not all cat burglars are highly defined physical specimens

That’s fine and all, but we’re not talking about “all cat burglars.” We’re talking about the Catwoman and she’s supposed to be in shape.

  22. Chad Says:

She looks like she should be auditioning for the lead in an autobiography on the life & times of Bette Davis.

  23. Karen Simmons Says:

I agree with M., D. Peace, and Catsmeow12– although I love the catsuit & googles look that Catwoman has in the comic books, I think for Christopher Nolan’s more realistic, Film Noirish interpretation of the Batman universe, this classier, more elegant retro look works perfectly (although I do still wish it was ANYONE else playing her other than Anne “Princess Diaries” Hathaway!).

  24. Kevon Manners Says:

“I’m beginning to wonder if all the rest of her “Catwoman” scenes are being shot on closed sets. Sigh.”

We have to actually WAIT AND SEE THE MOVIE….sigh….

  25. Leonard McCoy Says:

that hat is big – UFO big

  26. lead sharp Says:

Completely un-moved. Nice pictures but they could be from anything. I know there ARE from the set but they really could be from a movie premier.

  27. Wayno Says:

I hope Hathaway’s catsuit is as nice as the one Zoe Saldana wears in Columbiana! 8-D

  28. Leonard McCoy Says:

I notice she’s wearing almost no jewelry. you’d think Catwoman would wear a few big ol’ emeralds or some other slightly audacious jewelry just because she couldn’t help herself.

  29. T. Says:

You mean the same Batman series where the hero is decked head to toe in a superhero costume body armor, a cape and a full bat cowl? And where an explosion gives a man a perfectly functioning half perfect, half monstrous face where his eyes and speech work perfectly fine despite having no eyelid or lips on one side of his face anymore? Yeah, that vision is way too realistic for a Catwoman costume.

If you don’t mind a toned down Catwoman costume, that’s fine. But I don’t understand all these people who say it’s somehow necessary because Nolan’s vision is too realistic for it to work. We’ve already seen way more unrealistic things in these movies.

  30. justWidle Says:

I really don’t agree with Hathaway being chosen for this role. I understand her credentials as an actress, and thus is WHY she was given the role, but really, she lacks a great amount of sex appeal to me and i’m sure a lot of other batman fans who grew up with Tim Burton’s interpretations. Michelle Phifer, as insane as her Selina Kyle was, was very, very sexy, to say the least. Anne Hathaway, isn’t just the kind of woman you’d expect to see playing such a sexual character, and I know many, many people will argue that Catwoman originally wasn’t like that but come on, this OBVIOUSLY isn’t the Batman of the 1940′s, with a schizophrenic, anarchist Joker who had two massive scars on his face? a down right frightening Two-Face, who by all rights and means looked like he was out of a Loyd Kaufman movie, they definitely could have done a LOT better in not simply just casting Catwoman, but designing her costume as well. Without going on a completely different tangent, it looks ridiculous, to say the least.
