Marvel could reap a world of positive PR if they would now deign to drop a load of cash on the Kirby family, not because they're forced to, but because it would be the right, ethical thing to do. Of course, it should be noted that Marvel will never hire me as a publicist, either.

Thunderbolts features Kirby co-creation Juggernaut, as well as Baron Zemo at the beginning, so I'd think it would fall under the boycott.

I am not going to boycott marvel for this. I got a lot reasons too but not this. Here something they should have been telling people to do. Boycotting DC for what they did to the New Gods.

This is a hard one. It's easy to say that someone has a moral obligation, but moral obligations are not so cut and dried, since everyone has their own idea of what is moral. I also think there is a big difference between "Marvel really should have paid Kirby a lot better and should make up for that now" and "Marvel has no right to Kirby's work."

Never mind that if you want me to do something, exhorting me to grow a spine is not really the best way to do it. It's a bit condescending.

I will note, for the record, that I really did stop buying Marvel comics for a good chunk of the 90s because of how they were treating the King in his last days on this Earth. I don't remember what happened that I changed my mind, but I think there was some sort of accommodation that sounded fair back then. Not that I have bought more than four Marvel comics in a given month since 1983.
