Because YOU demanded it! My initial videos with fashion authority Tim Gunn is what gave us the idea to start the Agent of S.T.Y.L.E. column. If you missed them, check out Part 1 and Part 2 already! Anyway, we had such fun that we had to reunite! This time, we’re joined by my partner-in-crime Jennifer Ewing.
Last week, we discussed the Green Lanterns Alan Scott, Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner. This week, we take a look at John Stewart and Kyle Rayner. Enough talk, though! Play the video and enjoy for yourselves!
Alan Kistler writes the comic book history/fashion column Agent of S.T.Y.L.E. He is an actor and freelance writer living in New York who has been recognized by Warner Bros. Films and major media/news outlets as a comic book historian. He is also a creator/host of the web-show and podcast “Crazy Sexy Geeks: The Series.” He knows entirely too much about the history of comics, Star Trek, Doctor Who, time travel, and vampires that don’t sparkle.

This was great, I always enjoy your team-ups with Tim Gunn. And I really wish that they’d put Rayner back in his Jim Lee costume, I also think that was his best. (Actually, I think Ion2 was his best costume, but it wouldn’t make sense for him to wear it now, plus most artists drew it wrong.)
By the way, I noticed that a lot of the images in the older columns have been lost, is there any chance you could talk to the admins about fixing that?

Always enjoyable! Keep them coming whenever Tim Gunn has a chance to discuss comics. I’d love to get his opinion on the new DC52 looks. Thanks, Alan for another enjoyable column.

Really great piece from all of you! If I had one complaint, I wish I had gotten to see what you guys thought of Kyle and John’s costumes from the cartoons. But then again I guess they weren’t too different from the classic Hal Jordan suit.

You know I didn’t think that reading articles about super-hero fashion would be even a little bit of interest to me but on a lark one day I read one of Alan Kistler’s articles and I found it interesting and engaging and I began to read more of them and now I make a point of reading them whenever I see them posted. This is the second one I’ve seen with Tim Gunn as a guest host critiquing Hero fashion and it was informative as it was amusing. I think the first one I saw with with Mr. Gunn was a look at the Hulk’s wardrobe of all things. Looking forward to your next post Alan.

Is there going to be an update to this column soon? I love Alan’s insight into costume design and it’s been almost three months without a new installment.

My mistake, just discovered Alan’s website that has updated links to more recent entries. Newsarama’s page for Agent of STYLE is incorrect and displays this article as the most recent.
