The Dark Knight Rises promotion starts in earnest with the first — and very stylish — teaser posters surfacing online today, via TheDarkKnightRises.com. That’s the film’s official website, so this is the genuine article, unlike that elaborate fake teaser trailer that popped up online a few weeks back.

The No Man’s Land earthquake could work well. Assuming that Batman hasn’t been seen since the events of TDK, the earthquake would be a prime opportunity for having “The Dark Knight rise” to save Gotham. I guess one would replace Lex Luthor with Ra al Ghul for the purpose of this story. Although I don’t know how Catwoman plays in to this.

Can’t wait. Personally I think it’s a little premature to jump to conclusions about the movie just because of a cool poster. Nolan will make a great movie with a wonderful, original story (I hope…). In Nolan I trust.

I seriously doubt Nolan will take the Cataclysm-No Man´s land route… Remember there´s a massive Arkham breakout, so I think this poster is an analogy of the crumbling Gotham after such a terrible event. First teaser poster is a win, can´t wait for the first trailer.

Got to agree about the Design of it, but not woth your use of the word “Uber” unless you are German. But yeah the Negative Space Bat-Symbol is a stroke of genius, whoever does the posters for Nolan’s movies makes me insanely jealous of his skills as a Graphic Designer.

I love Nolan’s Bat-films, but if you didn’t tell me it was for the next Batman movie, I’d assume that was an image from some deleted scene from Inception.

@ PCRookie: hmmm… rock shaped like superman logo… could be… here’s hoping that DC *finally* gets wise and follows after Marvel’s idea of having movies interwoven together… and maybe, just maybe… work toward a Justice League movie!

The city being destroyed is just a metaphor, I doubt it will actually happen in the film, the same way Batman never burned a giant bat-sign into a building in TDK…
