I’m just gonna go ahead and say it. I think Captain America: The First Avenger is going to be the best comic book movie this year. First debuted 11 days ago at the Hero Complex Film Festival in Los Angeles, the latest (and presumably final) trailer is now online:

even before they said “nazi” i knew it was still WWII as i remember an earlier training were tommy lee jones said that cap would “personally escort adolf hitler to the gates of hell”. i hope that lines not cut as it was so awesome

This movie may be a huge smash because it’s coming aloong at a time when no one feels good about the state of the country. This trip back in time to what might possibly be the country’s finest hour may be just what the doctor ordered! Just like the first Star Wars movie helped to shake off the malaise of the Vietnam/Watergate era, this may be just the movie ticket to escapism for which the country is hungering!

It looks well made but the story seems thin — always an issue with 1st entries, where so much has to go toward the origin. BUT that grenade-jumping is solid gold: just a perfect Steve Rogers moment. Go Cap!

What the heck is up with his teeth? His head looks too small, too. The film makers must have used the cgi company that worked on the GL film.
Definitely seeing this one……on DVD.
