(And yes, I realize that’s the Indigo sigil, etc. It’s just the first thing that hit me. Besides, “Soldier of Compassion” wouldn’t be nearly as catchy.)

It’s probably lost on Johns and company that they made the only black GL the guy that’s in a “tribe” as opposed to a “corps”, too. I know that probably wasn’t intentional, but I realized it in like 10 seconds. DC has become the home of facepalm.

Always knew Kyle would get the Blue Ring at some point… the rings make sense story wise but I’m hoping John’s outfit is just the cover.

I doubt seriously that putting John in a “tribe” was intentional. Judging solely on the artwork, it looks like John’s military background will be of play here, and perhaps that ties in with the Indigo Lanterns. i’m not sure what is gained by trying to create problems that obviously aren’t there.

@Jonathan
Marco wasn’t doing that. He just said that DC has left themselves open to it, when thinking about it for like five seconds would be enough to see that it might come up.

After leaving the GL books a few months into Brightest Day, I’m bummed to see that it’s still about the multiple color lanterns. It was neat with Hope Barry and Greed Lex, but hasn’t it kind of jumped the shark after that?
Am I being too harsh on this impression? Covers only give away so much. Is there anyone reading who can give a better perspective?

Cisco-
I’d have to say that after all of the build up and background put into the multi-colored Corps, it would be a waste to NOT continue to explore and use them. The over arching story is that the emotional spectrum-all of the colors-are tied into life in general, from its creation. The current story line focuses on how ignoring this basis of life has come around to kick the Guardian’s in the rear. Personal opinion is that building the 6 other corps and then ignoring them would be more shark jumping…much like creating and almost immediately destroying the cultures and society of New Krypton was derided.

Is the soldier of love carrying a gun?
Also the Green lantern Corps doesn’t feature a green lantern on its cover.

Justsaying-
There’s no green lantern, because they are being controlled Parallax and that is why the 4 earth lantern wearers are forced to wear different colored rings.

See, when I first saw it I thought Nell Carter. . .
