Fear Itself/Crisis On Infinite Earths: Separated At Birth?

April 12th, 2011

Something seems really familiar about Fear Itself‘s Worthy. No, I’m not talking about the hammers transforming familiar characters into toyetic new designs, a la Blackest Night‘s colored lantern brigade (Although, hey!), I’m talking about the look for the character that everyone is assuming is a Worthy-fied Juggernaut:

Because… Look at that helmet. And then look at this:

Is it just me? It is, isn’t it? There’s no way that the Juggernaut has somehow turned into a less colorful Anti-Monitor. That would just be weird.

Yes, it’s just you. You’re really reaching on this one.

    Agreed…it is just you.

    Ditto.

That’s a pretty big stretch, since if that is Juggernaut, except for the strange eye holes, there have been plenty of depictions of him with the angry teeth, and his helmet has been drawn more or less like that a lot. Sometimes it is flatter, sometimes rounder, but generally like that.

Ugh. I don’t know about sperated at birth but come on Jugs new look is just ugly. The whole worthy thing lame and designs couldn’t be more ugly even if drew them.

    Waste of time.

Nice one – getting the Anti-Monitor comparison. Frankly I think the whole thing looked like the Green Lantern rings (hammers subbing in) when Sin transformed into Skadi (sp?) or whatever her name is. Sin, Green Lantern of 616.

I’d like to know why everything in the Marvel Universe is Tron related the past few months.
