Hi All, I am interested in learning how to play an instrument. I quite like the idea of learning the cello, keyboard or clarinet. I know that I will have to have lessons but I want to start off with some software or books to get the basics. Can someone point in the right direction where I can find some sound advice.

Not really, but Fox appears ready to do whatever it takes to keep the rights to it and Fantastic Four for as long as possible.

Don’t look for Ben Affleck to return to the role. He’s already stated he’s no longer interested in returning as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. I’ve also read on several other sites about the internet that this movie is said to be no only under new direction, but also while it isn’t a reboot, but a continuation from the first one, they’ll probably not refer to the first one that much aside from a few points here and there. Guess they’re aiming to tell a new tale. But according to The Hollywood Reporter via A SOURCE of their’s, there’s talk that David Slade MAY adapt Frank Miller’s classic Born Again storyline that he wrote alongside artist David Mazzucchelli.

In Born Again (for the uninitiated) The Kingpin found out Daredevil was Matt Murdock and proceeded to tear his life apart bit by bit, thus ruining him on multiple levels. Given the first film ended with Kingpin finding out Daredevil was Murdock, I can see how they could adapt Born Again, having read that comic storyline. I can see how they can forge ahead with an adaptation of that story in a cinematic way and not have to touch upon the last movie too much. Hoping for the best on this.

I actually like Ben Affleck (especially as a director), but he was horribly miscast as Daredevil. Daredevil isn’t a 6’1″ pretty boy with a dimple in his chin and a winning smile. That’s not Daredevil.

Matt Damon would’ve been a MUCH better choice for the original Matt Murdock. He’s too old now, of course, but he did actually have the height, hair, and build for it. Not to mention the acting chops.

Much depends on who the new Daredevil is. We shall see…

Matt Damon as Matt Murdock? Um, no. He doesn’t have the build or look of the son of a prize fighter. He looks like a pretty boy spy. Ben Affleck was perfectly cast. It’s not his fault the director was an idiot.

Is there REALLY a need for another Daredevil movie? I liked the first one and thought it was well done actually.. but it doesnt really scream for a sequel.

As for who to cast as DD?? I kinda like Ryan Phillipe maybe as DD.. hell its better than RyanmoviewhoreReynolds.

Oh, and I dont think Tobey or Ben were miscasts at all.. Tobey was a believable Peter until that stupid jazz club scene in Spidey3 which made absolutely NO sense whatsoever.

I liked the Director’s Cut. It extends the movie by adding a subplot of Matt Murdock defending a murder suspect. It gives more depth to his character. My main problem with the Daredevil films is Ben Affleck so re-casting is a plus.

I actually own the directors cut of the so called infamous daredevil movie with affleck and I like it…..The drivel that was put in theaters was a shame.

Man, times like this make me wish they had gotten Matt Damon to have played Daredevil. After all the Bourne movies, he’s definitely the better choice and he looked a hell of a lot more like Matt Murdock than Affleck. Look at the two actors and you kind of realize who has the better career these days.

I would be more interested if David Spade really was directing this! D.D. isnt nearly as high on my list of bad comic movies as it used to be (Thank you Wolverine: Origins). But still, i’ll have to see some casting before I get interested.

Alex – Eclipse is newer and was a much higher-profile and higher-grossing movie. Plus less words to fit in the headline than 30 Days of Night.

I loved Hard Candy but hated 30 Days Of Night. Who knows how this will work out. Alot of it depends on the story too. Being a big Daredevil fan this is really good news for me. But I feel like Ziyad has a good point. DD would work better as a tv show.

I’m not against it, I’d rather see it as a T.V. show because i think Daredevil is easier to pull of on TV and is more suited to TV since it is a noirish/detective story given a superhero twist.
It is also a property that isn’t given a lot of attention so it’s one that you can have more freedom with and take in many interesting directions anfd hopefully end with a interesting conclusion and not worry about people rebooting in two years.

I felt kinda worried when I read that they will continue the story from the first but maybe it’s a good thing. At least we know it won’t be a origin movie and it will take place with him being daredevil. I agree with comic-reader lad and say they don’t need to revisit any of the plot points from the first.

Before Twilight tarnished his name. Slade directed the awesome Hard Candy. Don’t let the Twilight connection ruin him for you. That unfortunate film aside, Slade is really good.

Don’t think the director is a bad choice, necessarily no matter how easy it is to hear “Twilight” and jump to all sorts of conclusions.

For me, it’ll depend on who the new Daredevil will be and if they change their minds about continuing the first movie. They don’t need to contradict anything from the first movie, but they don’t need to revisit any plot points from it, either.
