I see NOTHING wrong with collecting comics. How many things in life do we buy and get nothing back from it? There are plenty of second prints and trades for people who just want the story. And if I want to sell my comic for a profit and buy a trade so I still have the story, I'm okay with that. The industry will survive.

There's nothing wrong with people collecting comics...I don't understand why people get so upset about this. Collecting certainly doesn't stop people from reading comics and vice versa. There is no binary relationship here. I read comics and don't collect them. But I know people that do collect. It's doesn't hurt my enjoyment of the medium. Comics should have a big enough "tent" to offer a place for both readers and collectors.
