It looks like I will be saving a LOT of money this summer. None of these titles have any interest for me and if they really are going to be putting titles on hiatus during the Flashpoint event, then I’ll be saving even MORE money!

Otro crosover con realidades alternas… que aburrido, estoy seguro que Flashpoint estara cool, pero que aburrido que no sea el DC universe normal, aparte de eso 8 miniseries!!!!! thast a lot of comics.

Too much stuff to follow, DC. And: Aquaman is looking like Nazi Aquaman and Deathstroke is looking like Lobo with a He-Man sword. No, thanks. The other stuff is not interesting enough at this moment. Maybe Legion of Doom or Deadman. But thats it. I hope, the LSH is unaffected this time, we had to many versions the last decades.

this seems like an interesting event, but the creative teams aren’t too exciting. I smell editorial all over this — and while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing (hard to judge ahead of time) it usually means something that seems cool from a distance, but isn’t always so compelling once you crack the covers. Jury’s out AFAIK but I’m ready to pass on the whole thing (just dropped out of war of the green lanterns for e.g.). And if you’re saying “so what? who cares what you think?” – ok, true for you – but I spend more than $100 p/week on comics, so I’m pretty much one of those guys who’s keeping all y’all comics pubs going… just sayin’

Alternate time-lines have been done before, but this is something unique. It doesnt take place on a different earth, or in a different time. This is the main universe being completely changed by one man: Reverse Flash. And Barry is going to be the only one who knows that everything has changed. Im definitely interested and will be picking up the main title as well as Emperor Aquaman, Batman, and probably the Deadman one too. Also, please dont compare Aquaman to that overrated character (Wolverine). I mean they are trying to make him bad ass, but is that a problem? Would you rather have Aquaman just talk to fish the whole time? Also, he appears to be a villain in this series. so obviously he is going to come off as a bad-ass.

Whelp the comics future for the near future for me anyway will be Flashpoint. As Marvel has pretty much shut me out 100% from their offerings barring a miracle with Bendis’ Moon Knight.

Curse of the Ravager looks stupid. Deathstroke meets Pirates of the Carribbean? At least JT Skrul isn’t writing it.

Count me in for Legion of Doom and the main series. It would be great if they focused more on Professor Zoom and left out the rest. After all he’s the main player here.

They’re trying to make Aquaman bad-ass like Wolverine he’s being portrayed as that bloodthirsty villain/hero/whatever his allegiance is in this story.

I see a lot of people complaining about there being too many mini-series for Flashpoint, but from what I hear in the rumor mill these will be handled akin to Age of Apocalypse. So DC will put several titles on hiatus for 3 months while these issues come out. Nothing official has been stated but I’m guessing we’ll find out once the solicits appear.

Bruce Wayne is the Batman, if the Batman has a yellow oval and a zipper on his cod-piece.

Damian Wayne is the Batman, if the story is set in an imaginary future that no one will remember once the real future comes.

Leslie Thompkins is the Batman, if the Batman has woman’s breasts.

Jason Todd, who is alive, again, because Batman is all realistic and stuff, is the Batman, but only privately, behind locked doors, in his own bedroom, when he’s feeling randy. It’s a fetish. Don’t judge.

Alfred is the Batman, if all the other Batmen are off that day.

Dick Grayson is never the Batman, but they call him the Batman in all the other comics.

I’m guessing Batman is Bruce Wayne, since he runs Wayne Casinos, and Dick Grayson is featured in another book unrelated to Batman (someone asked about this). This whole thing seems like the current plot of Wonder Woman, but across the whole DCU. So, it’s “real” it’s just not permanent. But I agree that that seems just as comparable to an Elseworlds type deal.

The article mentions 14 Flashpoint miniseries, although by my count there have been 17 different titles announced in different news articles. Granted, some of these may be the same and have had title changes. Titles not mentioned in this article:

* Lois Lane & The Resistance #1-3

Steve, where have you been? DC announced it would have 15 related miniseries *weeks* ago. It’s even mentioned in the article you’re replying to.

That said…

Of this batch, I’m looking at Citizen Cold & Legion of Doom (gotta read the Rogues), and I’ve got to admit that Deathstroke as a pirate has a strange appeal.

Looking forward to the creative team on “Kid Flash Lost.” Next Friday, perhaps?

Have to say I’ll most likely sit most if not all of this out due mostly to budget….too many books for me to get. May get one or two if I can swing ‘em. Emperor Aquaman, Citizen Cold, and Legion Of Doom look cool. Most likely will stick to the main Flashpoint storyline.

Kevin T. Brown, maybe you’re right about Ravager being the name of his ship, although not using Rose herself in some capacity seems like a wasted opportunity. These stories ARE more and more starting to have an elseworlds feel to them, which for me will diminish my interest.

Deadman and The Flying Graysons seems to be the one of most interest to me. Krul is kinda hit or miss though.
