Last week I introduced a new feature here on Blog@ called Etsy Made Me Do It. I needed to give my wallet a bit of a rest, so this time around I decided to focus strictly on the fellas.
Once a week I’ll be sifting through the millions of listings to find the best in geek chic for Blog@ readers. Now, being the girly girl that I am, I personally don’t have much use for cufflinks (although I know a few gals who would rock them) but I think they make a gentleman look quite dapper. Here are some ultra-cool geek cufflinks I found.
For the distinguishing gentlemen, might I suggest Storm Troopers in Tuxedos?
For $27 they could be yours, or if you prefer, a classic Darth Vader with Lightsaber for $30. Seller crimsonking actually has a wide selection of these types of cufflinks so check out the full shop.
Going to the Christening of your godchild? Try getting into the spirit of things with these Monty Python Holy Grail God cufflinks for $18.75 by Zen25.
Or, if you need some help remembering quotes for your Best Man speech, how about these Tim cufflinks instead for $18?
Comic fans have a plethora of awesome cufflinks to choose from. I’d certainly marry a man wearing this Green Lantern set by qacreate.
The seller also has The Flash and several other superheroes framed for linking your cuffs, they all run for $40.
What kind of cufflinks would you expect Tony Stark to wear? Cufflinks with his own face on them of course! Well, Iron Man’s face.
Seller CoolCufflinks also has a traditional Superman logo in silver if that’s more your thing, both sell for $24.99.
And finally today, for the tabletop gamer at heart, a classy set of 20-side dice for $12.99.
Comes with a free gift bag but something tells me, if you’re buying these, you already have a bag for your dice.
Bear in mind, since Etsy is a craft website and not a commercial, mass-market dealer, items are almost always one-of-a-kind or in very limited availability. When you see something you like, buy it. It may not be there the next time you surf round. (Yes, it’s a very dangerous site for your wallet.) Also, since most items are created individually, many sellers are willing to customize something specifically to suit your needs. Just ask!

If you like all this fun stuff on Etsy, then you should check out yardsellr. It was started by a bunch of ex-eBayers and allows folks to buy and sell on Facebook.
It can be found here: http://yardsellr.com/

Found some cufflinks under $10 + shipping at an online store. They seem to be more reasonably priced than most other online stores or even B&M stores. Here’s the link http://www.huffncuff.com
