I second that. I have been checking every day for the Q & A on issue #168. I know not everyone reads this book and I don’t really get why, but for a bunch of us, this is the #1 book around. It has been that way for me for almost 20 years. There are others out there who would agree with me and we are kind of freaks about it. I think I look forward to this Q & A almost as much as the actual book coming out. So thanks for all of these so far and I am looking forward to the #168 Q & A soon.

I’m stunned. I always figured Angel was a long-term character and here we get two of them offed in consecutive issues. Darn. I guess there’s still all those alt reality Angels surviving in realities that _wern’t_ obliterated by Universo.

On another point, obviously the red mist weapon loses its potency and dissipates over a relatively short period of time so there’s an out for the “stalker” being human. It also allows the possibility for survival of any humans that were in sealed environments at the time of Kurrs attack.

How bizarre. I never thought I would be collecting comics long enough to see the baby who was born in the series grow up to take over. Ditto for another baby growing up and getting killed. This is the beat arc in the series to date.

Hearing Dragon’s voice again in Virus made me realize how much the character is missed. I hope there is some “take off my mask” closure moment between Malcolm and his father at the end ala the end of Jedi.

Finally, I don’t know how I feel about Kurr destroying all comers so easily. Glum enslaved the earth for a year, but Kurr got a few pages of fight then killed him off panel. Overlord killed Dragon with a single blast before. It reminds me of other characters that are basically unstoppable as bad guys, yet always beaten up as good guys (see Red Hulk for a recent example).

Tre – That’s like telling Unix users they shouldn’t use Windows and Mac as a basis for comparison when bragging on their OS. When the vast majority of the market is dominated by a couple of prominent players, it shouldn’t be a surprise that everyone else–particularly those with extensive personal experience at DC and Marvel–talk about the differences.

It’s amazing that even after 20yrs, EL still feels compelled to make DC/Marvel comments/comparisons. I swear I see this in every Q&A with him on here. Dude, we get it; you’re creator-owned, so you can do so many more awesome things with your character.

The death of Angel was tough to see. I can’t wait to read the next issue.

Another tremendous issue by Erik. This has been my favorite book over the last 20 years or so. I have every issue and I don’t see how I could ever stop following this. If you’re someone who is checking this out but not reading the book, you need to give a try.

Insanely good read this week. This storyline has been opening up so many different possibilities for the book it’s easy to forget sometimes the lead character has been out of the picture for over a year.

Now I wait impatiently for the next issue.
