Regardless, the only thing this article did was make me pine for classic Babs as Batgirl even more than I already do.

The costume was fairly faithful, though the cape was black and the gloves and boots struck me as being too long. Dina Meyer did make an excellent Babs/Batgirl, though.

CLAUDIO POZAS: Not really. The Question’s mask looks like flesh with features removed. Cassandra is clearly wearing a mask and she’s not unique in having such a look in comics. I’m not saying there’s NO resemblance, just that I don’t see it as a rip-off.

I think it’s interesting to notice that we’ve had Batgirls that had blonde, red and black hair (notice how, pre-Crisis, even the redhead Jason Todd dyed his hair black to be Robin). I prefer Batgirl with her hair showing, and that picture of Helena with her black hair out is really good.

I was never a fan of Cassandra’s full-face mask, specially the stitches. The no-face makes her kinda like the Question, no?

OK, that makes more sense. If Jim Gordon is supposed to be only ten or fifteen years older than Batman, then it would be hard to imagine him having a daughter only enough to be Batgirl unless Babs was conceived when Jim was in junior high school. Please accept my apologies.

BAYHATER: Batman wasn’t around, it was Cassandra and Barbara who said Steph could do the job. And Bruce said a few times that he blamed himself more than Stephanie for having come up with the war games in the first place and for his secrecy leading Steph to not understand certain things that would have prevented the later tragedies.

CLAUDIO POZAS: Evil twins can have their own columns and if there isn’t a strict basic criteria set up, then the piece goes on way too long. Talon wasn’t included in Robin for the same reasons I didn’t include Wrath in the Batman piece and won’t talk about Bizarro or Ultraman in the Superman piece.

Also, Alan, on your Robin article you should have mentioned Talon, the evil Robin from the Crime Sindycate’s Earth who partenered with Owlman. Although he’s a parallel Robin, he did join the Teen Titans during the One Year Later period.

he live-action version of Batgirl had a golden cape and the version of her that showed up on Batman the Animated series later got a cape that was gold on the inside. For this reason, some artists, when showing Barbara as Batgirl in flashback stories, have given her cape a yellow or gold interior.

The live action Batgirl’s cape wasn’t all-gold as you seem to keep saying. Only the interior was gold. The outside was purple. I just double-checked on Youtube.
