I looked through this last time I was in a Barnes & Noble... Kinda cool, but one thing really bothered me. On the cover, you get emblems of Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman. Superman, however, one can tell is represented by a cover where he's getting his ass kicked.

Open up the book, and sure enough, there's the whole cover of Parasite punching Supes' lights out(and bragging about the two black eyes he's given Supes). Also in the book, is the cover to that story from the 60's where Supes and Luthor fight under a red sun, and there's Luthor beating the tar out of Supes (and --surprise, surprise -- bragging about giving Supes a black eye).

Out of all the covers DC could've chosen over 75 years of comics they needed to go with TWO covers where Supes is getting snot beaten out of him? I'm not saying heroes should never get hurt, but there had to be better choices (The Luthor/Superman cover isn't even particularly special artwork). Then again, in spite of being DC's flagship character, Superman seems to get his ass kicked more than any hero in the DCU.

That gripe aside, it's a pretty cool collection. I'd be tempted to get it, and frame a few of those covers for a rec room. When I get a rec room someday.
