Marvel Comics vice president-executive editors Axel Alonso and Tom Brevoort have been saying recently that Marvel is looking to scale back their volume of titles a bit, and it looks like they’re serious: In a move reminiscent of when DC Comics asked fans if Jason Todd should live or die, Marvel is running a poll on their site asking readers which satellite Deadpool comic should be canceled, Deadpool Corps or Deadpool Team-Up. Whether or not this move is enough to appease the “Deadpool is in too many comics!” contingent remains to be seen.
Keep in mind, there’s no “view results” option to potentially sway voters, so there’s no way to assess who’s winning (or losing) this race — so let us know in the comments. If both of these Deadpool comics are drowning and you can only save one of them (which seems to be, essentially, the case), which one would it be?

Wow… really? 2 votes to get rid of Team-Up? I hated Corps. Couldn’t stand it. Easy choice.

Not for nothing, but don’t fans already choose which comics to cancel, by not buying them?
I was under the impression that Deadpool comics were money machines. So choosing to cancel one seems counter-intuitive.
I bet if there was a write-in box, the suggestions would be interesting indeed.

Listen, DPC is a far better book than Team UP. And to be honest, even Rob Liefeld says DPC doesn’t have a great story. But Team Up is just so freakin awful it defies logic.

Deadpool Team-Up is a complete WASTE of a comic in addition to being a wasted opportunity. More often than not each issue seems like “filler” and more or less sucks. The whole D-List team up idea wasn’t funny to me because i didn’t care about anything that happened in that title….[ and this is coming from someone who usually loves obscure characters]
Sad ..Because they could have used this book as an opportunity to do some really cool stuff. [Like Garth Ennis writing a Deadpool / Punisher issue , or something crazy like John Byrne drawing a Deadpool / Wolverine issue. Instead we got 95% crap that wasn't even funny...
HUGE fan of Liefeld here but I haven't been crazy about Deadpool Corps either [mostly because of the cartoony direction of the story] but still…At it’s worst we still get Lady Deadpool , Dogpool , and Headpool every month + fun art from Liefeld and Mychaels. To put these books together in a poll is kinda f#cked up… They’re not comparible. DP: Team-Up isn’t fit to wipe a homeless @ss with.

I was under the impression that Deadpool Corps. was a 12 issue series anyways. I liked it for the art mostly. I couldn’t get into Team-Up at all. I tried reading the first couple of issues of Deadpool Team-Up and couldn’t get into it. I was just not interested. At least Deadpool Corps. Seemed to have a direction even if it was kind of silly.
I’ve always been a Liefeld fan and these upcoming Marat Mycheals issues should be just as good. I’ll buy anything these guys draw.

Kill off DPTU. Deadpool Corps needs to be seen through to the end. Wasn’t that designed as a mini or maxi series to begin with? I could have sworn it was. Rob Liefeld and Adelso Corona kicked butt on the art chores for the first part of the series . . . Marat Mychaels rocked on the fill in issue and is poised to rock the remainder of the series. With a great creative team, there’s NO WAY I’d say “pull the plug on Deadpool Corps.”
Plus, a “Deadpool with breasts” (Lady Deadpool) will always beat out a “Deadpool with a dong” in my voting . . .

Bye Bye Deadpool Team-Up .

Kill off the Corps. DTU is either hit or miss, but still nice to see obscure characters like Hellcow or It, The Living Colossus get some page time. Let the Corps roll out a couple more issues and end it.

“All of the above”
November 16th, 2010 at 1:36 pm
Just cancel them both and replace them with the “All New, All Different Deadpool Team-Up Corps”
November 16th, 2010 at 4:59 pm
“and it looks like they’re serious”
I’d say this is more of a publicity stunt at best, an insult to readers at worst.
If they were really serious, they wouldn’t ask for our opinion, they’d simply can low-selling comics and quit replacing them with more low-selling comics that we know aren’t going to last 6 issues.

All of them and save Thor: Mighty Avenger

The only Deadpool book I need around is Deadpool MAX. I’ll be glad to see one of these cancelled, even if that is being negative.
