As a BIG Booster Gold fan I have to say I only read this book because of the Rip/Booster flashbacks.
The rest of the book is…quite….80s style…not in a good way…
I hate the design of ‘Starfire’ and the sorcerer because they immediately reminded me of the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon series…
The costumes, the way the characters talk (about their motivations……in speech bubbles and not in a monologue………………….) is really cheesy…

…and yes Booster’s interaction with Starfire is totally out of character…
I know Dan Jurgens created him but the conversation between these two felt totally wrong in #3.

And I’m really not fond of finding out who Rip’s mother is.

So: all in all I’m still curious how this will end but mainly I’m going to ignore what happens there… Especially when it ends like I fear… :/

As a huge fan of Dan’s Booster run, I’m disappointed my LCS didn’t order this for me. They thought it was a Batman book, and I recently dropped the Bat books.

Looking forward to the trade, or an eBay order shortly!
