Because I still love the former dearly and see no reason to get rid of it, and because I think that the marriage of the super-hero and the comic book is the best use of both the medium and the concept. Comics without super-heroes rarely entertain me, and no movie or TV show based on a super-hero comic has ever been fully satisfying to me.
