As confirmed at Marvel.com, the much-anticipated “Avengers: Earth’s Mightest Heroes” hits the air on Wednesday, October 20th at 8:30 pm EST on DisneyXD. But wait, there’s more!
Beginning Wednesday, September 22, Disney XD, DisneyXD.com/Avengers, Marvel.com, MarvelKids.com and Disney XD Mobile will roll out 20 micro-episodes introducing the team’s core members. Each five-and-half-minute episode focuses on the back story, allies and nemeses of the heroes before the Avengers were formed.
And, just one more look at the trailer . . .
What say you, animation fans? Ready for this one? Like the bonus content? Let’s hear it.

I was really looking forward to this – great art and designs, good people behind it, and given home turf by Disney – it was like they were finally getting the DC model down. And then I saw the trailer. Ugh. The animation is godawful, the art is sloppy, the voices are sub-par, the dialogue is terrible (“We can avenge those who have been wronged!” “Yeah, we can be Avengers!!” whee!), and that song. Jesus. The whole thing is like a bunch of executives feeding stuff to kids they think must be “cool” with no artistry behind it.
Maybe it will get better, though the trend of most Marvel shows (Spectacular Spider-Man being the exception) is that they go downhill fast. Oh well.
Y’know, even more than DC, Marvel really has the opportunity to make an animated universe, with Disney behind them. Think if they had an Iron Man show, a Thor show, a Spider-Man show, an FF show, and they all guested and crossed-over with each other. That would be fantastic.

Spectacular Spider-Man was the best marvel toon ever, IMHO. Wolverine and the X-Men was also very good. And some idiots canceled both of those shows. It makes getting excited for another marvel toon difficult.

I didn’t think it was terrible. It was ok to me, although I’m not too crazy about the character designs. They remind me of Static Shock or Zeta Project, and don’t seem quite suitable for a Marvel cartoon. However, some of the animation on the action sequences looked good, so I’m going to be hopeful.
It’s definitely not DC level, but for a Marvel cartoon, this could be one of the better ones.

Not sure if I’ll be able to get past the really bad voice acting for Tony in this (they have yet to get the right guy for Tony in any of the animated appearances) … and some of the designs are off (again Iron Man….) but I still liked the overall feel of the trailer. I’m fairly excited about this cartoon.

I love Marvel comics, but their toons are generally not that great.
I love DC toons, but their comics generally aren’t that great.
I will give this show a try, though…

Iam sooo looking forward to this show. The designs take a bit getting used to but so did Spectacular Spider-Man at first and that show turned out great. So here’s hoping the same good thing for A:EMH.

This looks like it will fill the void left by the awesome justice league unlimited show.

Everything that DC does well with it’s animated projects, Marvel continues to the opposite. Terrible.
