I had been surfing the web about rumors for a movie when I came across this. With all the changes and incarnations to Diana, it would be a great twist for the modern day Diana incarnation to be a beautiful black skinned woman like Byeonce. Wearing the dark blue leggins. In my twist, her whole outfit is made of a special bullet/fire/everything proof material. The tiara would kick into protective headgear, her daily bracelets would transform into arm fitting gauntlets, and the chest emblem will also expand as an extra protection shield, otherwise it's small and insignificant, like the original that to the common eye might just look like under clothes when she's in her undercover mode. She's soft and gentle but when it comes to a fight scene, the tomboy comes out and no more fighting like a girl. Truly kick ass and fight like Xena did. After all, she is an amazon. I think the lack of appeal is because she is too feminine without the masculine traits, but when you mix the two in just the right level, watch out. This is also comic's way of selling it to us, the core fan base, in advance. Wonder Woman is who she is. She's an icon. People know she's an amazon and a princess who came from a Paradise like island. People know her costume around the world and to hundreds of millions of people, people who never ever read a comic book, they can look at her image and say "Wonder Woman". Diana isn't invulnerable but often fights like she is. Extra protection and power here makes logical sense. Plus, she's a warrior and along with the skimpier outfit they be a kick ass reminder. His art really makes Wonder Woman look good and picture 29 is just stunning. 2 bad i didn't buy Wonder Woman back then. But his run on the book is the one i would buy in trade. Got high hopes for Don Kramer on this book cause the previews really blew me away, he has come a long way since his Jsa days. Gotta love Mike Deodato Wonder Woman. I don't like the new costume very much. I did like the Jim Lee look to Wonder Woman. However, he did revert to the previous tiara-over-hair look by 1959 and it did stay that way more often than not until late 1972 (WW #204) when the mod look was done away with and the Nubia story began. The gold belt began then, too. Besides a brief return to the Golden Age style for WW 207-211 and a white belt for a few issues after that, the revised costume from WW 204 is how things stayed unitl 1982 when the new WW symbol was introduced.
