Alice Eve is blonde, pretty and sort of hoity-toity looking, so it’s not hard to see why she’s in negotiations to play Emma Frost in next summer’s X-Men: First Class, as reported yesterday by the Hollywood Reporter‘s Heat Vision blog.
Just last week, we were speculating on whether or not the former White Queen would play a role in the film at all, given that she didn’t appear in the comic books until the X-Men were way beyond their first class —1980′s Uncanny X-Men #129. Yet Emma Frost did have a character cameo in last year’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, so it makes sense given the established film continuity.
Eve most recently starred as the titular “she” in this spring’s Jay Baruchel comedy vehicle She’s Out of My League. She’s also British, which I always thought Emma Frost was supposed to be when I was a kid. Just a few months ago, she was rumored to be up for the role of Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger.
Also making the rounds: Latino Review says Caleb Landry Jones, “Boy on Bike” in No Country for Old Men, is the “top contender” for the role of Banshee. Jones is 20, putting him more than a decade younger than the 31-year-old James McAvoy (playing Professor X), even though Banshee is one of the only X-Men who, in the comics, is around the same age as Xavier. It happens.

Alice Eve, i don’t know who she is,when i saw a movie or tv i just care about the story,something else like who develops the lead i don’t care.

she might be good for the role as she does have a history of playing manipulative women who have no problem messing with peoples minds, she was good in Big Nothing with Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer although she was not so good in Starter for 10, but as long as the writing and the story are solid she may be ideal for the role

She’s from Rhode Island, but speaks with a british accent to make herself appear posh, regal,all those good things.

Frost isn’t british. She’s from New England(?). Though, I guess it’s the American assumption that you get a British actor if you want to portray a character as high-class. I’m not sold on her, but there are worse choices. The biggest strike against her so far that I can see is that she’s not Natasha Henstridge who is perfect for the role of Emma Frost (she’s a spitting image of her). However if they’re trying to make Emma a teenager in the academy, Alice could be the right choice.

Well, she wasn’t too bad in “She’s Out of My League” and from what I saw, seeing her in the whole corsette for a whole movie would not unpleasant. Have to see her in something more serious to make any claims on acting…

so other than Xavier, Mags, and Beast, Emma and Banshee’s characters are now confirmed…. So who will be Cyclops and Storm? Looks like they are rounding up the characters from X-O: Wolverine. Let see, we still need Quicksilver and Toad ^_^
And who will be Cyclops’s main squeeze in the movie? Emma or Jean? and who will Banshee impregnate to get Siryn from X2?

why is emma in this film in the first pkace isnt it only the orginal 5 that make up the first class plus I could realy do with an X men movie without wolverine cause the others all blow and he was the central character, i just think we all need a break from hhim

Great another X-Men movie where the original team gets changed for the most annoying “popular” characters you just want to forget you ever read the damn book to begin with.
Just make a X-Men movie were the original teamn and the second team stars instead of this white queen crap, they should have just killed her in Generation X when they had the chance.

Henstridge may look the part, but I’d want a better actress.
I wish they’d allow Banshee to be older, I thought in the comics he was even older than Professor X, like in his 50s with Xavier in his late 40s. Liam Neeson or the guy who plays Mad-Eye Moody would be a great Banshee. The White Queen should be about 10 years older than most of the X-Men too, except Wolverine. But who knows how old anyone is supposed to be with all the retcons, etc. Oh, except for the Quesada edict that everyone be under 28.
Emma was always an evil person until they tried to rewrite all that.

Henstridge is a good actress and Emma falls perfectly within her range.
To the poster who complained about her always being evil, it’s too bad you don’r like characters with depth. I don’t like characters to stay one dimensional and think it’s good to flesh out their backgrounds. They haven’t ever changed her character, she has just switched sides to better suit her. Turns out the xmen are better teammates. who knew?
