I think this series would work better if it wasn’t set in modern times. This sort of has a noir feel and probably the 40′s and 50′s would have seemed like a more natural feel, instead of imagery of a caped crusader in modern-times.

The trailer sold me on at least the pilot. It looks no worse then the JSA-Smallville, which while a little cheesy at times was still a lot of fun. The cape as an actual weapon is fairly unique, and the show embracing a costumeed hero is refreshing *pokes Smallville producers*.

I would love for this show to be a gateway for some more superhero shows. Maybe a return of The Flash under Geoff Johns watchful eye?

Could be silly fun. The only suggestions I would make would be “shave” and “put a mask on under that hood”, though I was relieved that it didn’t turn out to be quite the “Smallville-style hoodie-based-costume” thing I was afraid of when I first saw the still.

I’m interested just to see Summer Glau in a regular role where her character isn’t the “odd girl”; between Firefly/Serenity and the Terminator series, she was skirting the edge of becoming typecast. It will be nice to see her playing a regular person (at least where social skills are concerned) for a change.

I think it might be good! I’ll admit, it does look alittle bit cheesy but what hero isn’t! Even the awesome super heros had there cheesy moments. I’ll watch it and I think anyone who likes the hero genre should too.

With “Heroes”, I’m sure they are already working on a movie. It might take awhile to write and get funding, but I’m sure they will. I suggest sticking with a long series like “Doctor Who” if you don’t like your favorite show to end, I’m still trying to watch all the originals from the 1960′s up to now.

But, I plan to watch “The Cape” and even if it bombs on tv I’ll gave it a chance. I didn’t even like “Fringe” when it came out till I gave it a chance and now I schedule my Thursdays to watch it.

When it comes to American network TV we’re always at the mercy of ratings. That’s the trouble with serial styled shows.

For every “Life On Mars”, which ABC canceled but the producers gave it an ending (good or bad is up for debate) on the 13th episode we have “Journeyman” which NBC canceled but the producers never actually had an ending.

As for “The Cape”, IMO, as long as they don’t use the old “travel-to-the-alternate-dark-apocalyptic-future-scenario” that “Heroes” did to death, then they’re alright with me.

We’ll have to wait and see but it did look pretty solid and lets face it..after Heros shit the bed so badly we’re lucky to get any super hero fare on prime time at all. I’ll gladly take “doesn’t suck” any day of the week!!!

That’s still a rumour that’s going around. Nothing has been 100% finalized (even though I would gladly take a 2-hour wrap-up).

That’s one person’s opinion. I personally enjoyed the series. Yes, it’s never been as good ever since the writer’s strike during Season 2 but I still thought it was good. All I wanted was a conclusion to the series. I hate it when you’re left hanging.

So, what shows do you enjoy? Would you like it if a show you faithfully followed was suddenly canceled with no real ending? NBC can cancel it if the ratings are low. That’s fine. Just come to that conclusion earlier so you can give the show an ending. Too many of my favourite shows have just disappeared now without real endings (Angel, Firefly, Invasion, Jericho [at least CBS tried to give a final wrap-up on that], Two Guys and a Girl, etc.).

Why can’t people acknowledge that Heroes was just plain BAAAD! As in horrible, w/o the potential for getting better. Four years of shear awfulness. Here’s a suggestion, why don’t they just make Kick-Ass a series? I could just watch Hit Girl do her thing for a whole half hour.

I think I pretty much got the whole story for the season in the trailer, so I don’t need to watch the episodes anymore!

Certain parts of it made me cringe a bit. The whole ‘cape’ thing looks seriously lame, and the characters seem really weak.

Hm… the more you sit on it, the lamer it seems actually. Yeah, its starting to smell like a turd.

The cast looks good. Not sure about the dialogue though. Hopefully it pans out because there isn’t much I am going to be watching once Lost and 24 finish. Leaves me with just Castle and shows on DVD from HBO or Showtime.
