I'd love to see a Flash movie! The live action TV show was one of my favorite shows growing up!

That trailer, however, just seems to be a fan-made video played on a movie theater screen.

WHAT? There is no way in hell that trailer is professionally produced. That looks ridiculous, even through the grainy footage.

I don't want to dismiss this guy out of hand, since I really don't know a lot about him. The work on the GL movie says nothing at this point since it's still on the way and he's not all that involved with it anymore (based on what I've read). The only thing of his I even remotely know is Eli Stone, and that was crap.

Was "Stone" really a "critical hit"? I seem to recall it getting very mixed reviews at best, but at the very least it didn't win over many viewers. Got a nice push at first, following Lost, but it didn't win people over.

Besides, this guy's a writer and not a director... Right? So I'm not sure what qualifies him for this one, especially if they want to do this big and do this right. Even the supposed "ner cred" doesn't seem all that high to me. Most of his credits seem to be writing for WB/CW shows, and that definitely doesn't fill me with much hope. Maybe I'll be wrong about all of this, and that's fine with me, but it seems like the best approaches to these movies -- exemplified by Nolan's Bat-flicks and Iron Man -- still haven't sunk in with the studios.

At the very least, I hope someone like Geoff Johns is involved in scripting this movie. Then I'll feel better about it. Not sure who I'd want to see play Flash (esp. if it's Barry), but if they do the Wally West Flash, I'll nominate James Roday (from Psych). He'd need to bulk up, yes, but I think he sort of looks the part, and his smart-alecky sense of humor would be a great fit.

Okay, I admit it ... that trailer gave me goosebumps. I didn't know I wanted a Flash movie so badly until now.
