That is some motivational material. Hardly ever believed that beliefs could possibly be this different. Cheers for all the commitment to deliver such helpful facts here.

I think Krasinski could be inspired casting--his performance in Leatherheads opposite Clooney tells me he'd certainly hold his own alongside Downey in an Avengers picture; and he's a big buy with a charismatic, likable presence, which a movie Captain America needs more than a chiseled face or washboard abs. Krasiniski makes Jim Halpert easy to root for on The Office, and I imagine that quality would serve him very well in this picture. There's a lot more to casting these things than picking the guy who looks the most like he stepped out of the comic book.

LEATHERHEADS... That was the name of the movie! Thank you, Rev.

Yeah, I think Krasinski is an odd choice, but not a wholly terrible one.

Of that list, I would take Krasinski (seeing him in LEATHERHEADS has actually sold me), Cassidy, maybe Porter, and Hedlund.

Interesting wish list.

"I can see someone like Krasinski as a pre-serum Steve, and then have a different actor as the post-serum Steve. But I’d sure they’ll probably do some cgi and use the same actor for both parts."

Why couldn't he just work out hard, ala Christian Bale did for the Batman movies? He's actually a fairly big guy, not Steve Rogers-like, no, but it's not out of the realm of possibility either.

Still disappointed that Aaron Eckhart and Mark Valley apparently aren't being considered. I think both of those guys were practically born to play the role, AND they would match up nicely in terms of age, presence and gravitas when matched up with Robert Downey when The Avengers happens.

The only name in this new bunch that I know is Krasinski, thanks to (duh) The Office. I wouldn't have pictured that, but that old time football movie he was in with George Clooney gives me the idea that he's probably got that build for it, or least would with some additional work. It's an offbeat choice, to say the least, but it's interesting.

No opinions on the others, since I don't know anything about them. I'm just glad to see Chris Pine NOT being mentioned. I don't understand his appeal or why his name suddenly crops up with EVERY geek film being proposed now.

Jim from the Office? Really? Funny guy, but he looks like a cartoon character.

Speaking of "Jim", by the looks of some of these actors, they'll need to hit a gym if they are going to play Cap.

Ryan McPartlin, who plays Devon 'Captain Awesome' Woodcomb from "Chuck." Although Awesome may be a little to close to what a parody of Captain America might be like.
