Unfortunately, the video is not embeddable, so I’ll have to just toss you the link and leave it at that. It’s the final trailer for Absolute Justice, the 2-hour Justice Society of America episode of Smallville written by Geoff Johns. It features your live-action JSA in motion and talking, and it is absolutely freaking awesome.
Head over to Michael Ausiello’s page at Entertainment Weekly right this second, and get your JSA on.

As I said at ew.com, I still think the costumes look cheap and the fx look pretty bad (at least the matte shot of Hawkman flying does), but… this still looks kind of cool. I’ve never been a Smallville fan, and I haven’t seen a single episode of the show in ages, but this has me intrigued enough to tune in for the movie.
If this is good, and it’s indicative of the show’s been going lately, I might try to catch up on the later seasons and start watching this. I’m glad they’re apparently leaving that “no flights, no tights” crap behind. It’s one of the reasons I could never get into the show.
Add Annette O’Toole’s return, and there’s now THREE reasons to watch.
