don’t think things will get “cute” or watered down with Disney either. I mean, Miramax is a division of Disney… Look at some of the films they’ve made! Not kiddie fare. They also own ESPN and ABC. Sports (with all those beer and Viagra ads), and shows like Lost, Desperate Housewives, and Grey’s Anatomy. Again, not for the kids.

The surname thing still messes me up, because when you read criticism by other writers, you never know whether they have reversed the surnames or not…I knew however I did it, it would wind up wrong…

yeah this was my first non bruce lee martial arts movie, it started an addiction that continues today. Still dont think Ive watched a better kung fu movie

Lau Kar-Leung is my fave Kung-fu director, but the superhero parallels are stronger in LEGENDARY WEAPONS OF CHINA , which will be the next review, if you haven’t seen it and you like 36 CHAMBERS definitely check it out, it is every bit as crazy as VENOMS, but with technically better and more realistic fight choreography than venoms (IMHO)

My favorite Kung Fu movie ever. I remember watching this on a Saturday afternoon when I was about 6 yrs old. I then spent weeks reenacting the movie with my friends, each of us picking our favorite clan member.
