I'm just relentlessly old-school, from subject matter to style. I'm probably so old-school that, ironically, the wide open world of webcomics is the only place a strip like WORLD OF HURT might have been able to gain traction. Artists that may have not had the opportunity to be heard in traditional, or "mainstream" comics have definitely found a voice in webcomics. Here, you can gain your audience and your voice at your own pace. There are many distinctive voices already out there, but I think as artists come to realize the potential of webcomics, they'll be many, many more added to the webcomics chorus. I usually cringe and shy away when I so much as see the term "webcomic" because so often it means that dreadful computer-drawing-tablet look that seems to homogenize everyone's styles.
