"You excited for this weekend’s premiere of the AMC remake of the Prisoner, with James Caviezel and Sir Ian McKellen?"

I wish I was, David, as I love the original series (sounds so weird to be saying "original series" when referring to The Prisoner), but I wish the rumore Chris Nolan big screen version had happened instead. I think he would've nailed it. Maybe he would've cast Clive Owen, who (after seeing Children of Men) would've made a great No. 6. Hell, I'd have like Christian Bale as No. 6... But Jim Caviezel? Sorry. Aside from the fact he's not British, I don't feel that his more publicized political views really fit with the whole concept.

I'm going to give the new Priz a shot, mostly for the always amazing Ian McKellan (WONDERFUL casting there), but It'll probably just make me want to pop up in my DVDs of the original show and watch them all again. Not everything about it has aged well, but it was a masterpiece of its time.
