Hey not to set off topic but can anyone give me overview of. New York Car Insurance Reform 295 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10007 (646) 351-0824 They can be down the block from me. Sounds really cool and looks like fun, but…I HATE that they went with the “kewl” Martian Manhunter look. Just reminds me too much of that horrible misdirection they took J’Onn in his miniseries from a couple of years ago.

Will Aquaman be in this. I love the DCU, but I have new clue about the storylines, arcs, etc. I Just like flat out cool super hero stuff and DC dudes are cooler than Marvel. My favorite hero is old Aqua-man. He’s in serious need of some love from DC. They need to make a wicked movie like GL or the other DC animated movies. They need to make him a maniac, not some sensitive weirdo. He’s the king of the fricken seas for crying out loud. The sea is filled w/ crazy stuff.

You guys sound knolegeable about all this stuff, whens my boy gonna show up in something cool for more than a cameo like he did in New Fronteir?

I think it is great that with SM/BM Public Enemies, GL First Flight, Gotham Knights and now this, DC is officially burying the HORRIBLE art and writing style of the “Timmverse”. The DCU reimmagined as a villain-centric world drawn like a reject version of Dick Tracey was NOT official. Blocky stiff LOUSY. Watching Timmverse episodes of Superman constantly getting whupped by scrubs and Batman whupping on gods while Lex Luthor is portrayed as some kind of untouchable anti-hero/deity got tiresome as well. And then there was that awful art. But since SM Doomsday (TERRIBLE) DC has been getting it right with their DTV’s (trying at least). One thing worries me. Dwayne McDuffie. He has always turned in the WORST most villain-centric DCAU scripts of them all. He really hates these characters! Remember the JLU’s when that scrub from the future and some cyber-punks kills the ENTIRE JL. Or when the android whups the entire JL (until godly Luthor saves the day). Then there was his terrible run on the JL comic where the villains “shame” the JL into protecting the poor villaind from being persecuted by the “evil” government law enforcement who wanted to punish them for thir crimes (perish the thought). See a pattern in his scripts? Thank god DC fired him. Him attached to this project is not a good look AT ALL.

This concept was already done & done VERY well in the context of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED.

Sort of. That story, “A Better World,” was indeed going to originally be a Crime Syndicate story, but as we saw, the Justice Lords ended up being (a) physically identical to the Justice League and (b) more misguided than sinister. “Worlds Collide” would have dealt with the genuine Crime Syndicate, who are as bad as the JLA are good. If the film credited ANYONE for inspiration, it should be: CRIME SYNDICATE CREATED BY GARDNER FOX AND MIKE SEKOWSKY.

Especially since Dwayne McDuffie has already revealed the story is a departure from Fox’s original CRISIS ON EARTH 3 story from the 1960s.

Anyway, it looks cool. Can’t wait to see Johnny Quick vs. the Flash, and Power Ring vs. Green Lantern!

To everyone who thinks we just can’t see GL’s ring, look closer at his fist and then your own. Notice you don’t see the end section of your fingertips when you make a fist, that only leaves two sections left, which is what we see in the image. He doesn’t have a ring on, and judging by his expression and body language, he’s none to happy about it.

This concept was already done & done VERY well in the context of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED. If weighed against the JUDAS CONTRACT, which was very kidified to fit in TITANS GO, then it’s a no brainer as to which one to go with. The Judas Contract was mentioned in the first batch of DTVs & has yet to be made. It would feature enough adult matter to separate the two versions of a similar story & put a deserved spotlight on the Titans franchise who will be celebrating their anniversary.

Eh, without Conroy, Daly (or Newbern), or Brown, I’m not terribly interested. I know this is not the DCAU, but those are the voices I associate with those characters.

Maybe I’ll watch it when it eventually comes on the Cartoon Network, but I’m not spending money on it.

Ace: yup, I agree on all points. It could certainly end up being a great film, but I’m a little sad they didn’t stick to the original plan. Although if they ended up coming up with an even better Justice League/JLU project in its place, I’ll happily watch it.
