Another “Crisis” is coming…

September 15th, 2009
Author Lan Pitts

but this time, to DVD.  Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths is coming Spring of next year, and I could not be happier.

An original story from award-winning animation/comics writer Dwayne
McDuffie (Justice League) rooted in DC Comics’ popular canon of
“Crisis” stories.

Bruce Timm (Superman Doomsday, Green Lantern) is executive producer.
Lauren Montgomery (Wonder Woman, Green Lantern) and Sam Liu
(Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) are co-directors.

In Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, a “good” Lex Luthor arrives
from an alternate universe to recruit the Justice League to help save
his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters
with virtually identical super powers to the Justice League. What
ensues is the ultimate battle of good versus evil in a war that
threatens both planets and, through a diabolical plan launched by
Owlman, puts the balance of all existence in peril.

All-star voice cast led by Mark Harmon (NCIS) as Superman, James Woods
(Ghosts of Mississippi) as Owlman, Chris Noth (Sex and the City, Law &
Order) as Lex Luthor, William Baldwin (Dirty Sexy Money) as Batman,
Gina Torres (Serenity, Firefly) as Super Woman and Bruce Davison
(X-Men) as the President.

Oh MY yes. The art style looks amazing and that Owlman is top-notch. The voice cast looks impressive as well and I can’t wait to see further additions to it later on.

Now only if we can get that “Judas Contract” up and running…

  1. KPasquino Says:

Please tell me that Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely are receiving at least some credit for the story. Having said that, it looks like JLU fun.

  2. Hourman1941 Says:

    coo-ooool.

  3. collectededitions Says:

Where did these images come from? Are there more? (Dig Martian Manhunter in his new costume …)

  4. Martin Gray Says:

Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely? All they did was a riff on the Silver Age stuff.

  5. Bill Reed Says:

I would’ve hoped for something closer to the Morrison/Quitely GN.

  6. Joe Kach Says:

@ Martin Gray – Read the “JLA: Earth 2″ OGN.

    –J.

  7. nikki Says:

Shouldn’t earth 3 lex have hair?

  8. mike t Says:

WOW!! Cant wait for this dc dvd movies blow marvels away.Yeah lets that Judas contract out!

  9. Mark Engblom Says:

Fantastic! It’s interesting that they (Warner-DC) feel the need to give the characters unique looks for each direct-to-DVD project. There’s nothing *wrong* with the variation….but it seems to be a bit of “reinventing the wheel” each time there’s a new project. Sure, with pre-existing stuff like “New Frontier” it makes perfect sense to stay “on model” with Darwyn Cooke’s character design…or to a certain extent the recent Superman/Batman “Public Enemies” thing…but for a JLA story not connected to a specific pre-existing story, why not just use the “Timm style” from the dearly departed JLA animated series?

Again…not a big deal…just curious why they’d spend more money on art development when I’m sure most fans would be fine with the existing character designs….or at the very least a new look for all DC characters that could be applied to all new DVD projects….so there’s some visual continuity between them all.

  10. Wesley Smith Says:

Grant Morrison didn’t invent the Crime Syndicate. If they’re going to credit him, they have to credit Gardner Fox, too.

But I was really hoping this would have the JSA in it as well. When does this come out?

  11. Vinnie Bartilucci Says:

“It’s interesting that they (Warner-DC) feel the need to give the characters unique looks for each direct-to-DVD project.”

I think it’s more that each film is being done by a different director and team, as well as in some cases being inspired by stories connected to specific artists. Personally, if they do The Judas Contract (may God hear us) I want to see everyone look like the Perez characters, and not the JLU designs.

They may be trying to vary from the JLU/Timmverse look to make sure people know these are separate stories. Plus, what we call “stylized” others might see at “simplistic”

  12. JawaFather Says:

Sounds really cool and looks like fun, but…I HATE that they went with the “kewl” Martian Manhunter look. Just reminds me too much of that horrible misdirection they took J’Onn in his miniseries from a couple of years ago.

  13. Simon DelMonte Says:

Odd set of choices for the voice actors. Of course, every time they recast Supes, Batman, Joker, and Luthor, I don’t get it. Daly, Conroy, Hamill and Brown ARE the people for those parts. (I know that Daly often has other commitments. I just wish he didn’t).

At least Woods and Torres have done voice work before.

  14. Wesley Smith Says:

J’onn’s new uniform was nice. If they had left his head alone, I think there would have been a much stronger reception to the look, if not the story.

On the other hand, if J’onn doesn’t return after Blackest Night, I’m going to be really upset.

  15. Shaun Says:

Looks pretty cool… But why recast the voices of Bats, Supes and Luthor? It should be Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly (or George Newbern, if Daly can’t, is perfectly fine) and Clancy Brown.

As Simon says (heh) those guys have defined those roles… Why ever go with anyone else? They all clearly enjoy doing those parts, so that’s a turnoff right there. If it gets good reviews, I might rent this, but probably not buy it.

They should just sign those three to long-term contracts to do those voices over muliple films. Maybe they at least Carl Lumbly back to voice Martian Manhunter?

  16. Shaun Says:

Mark said: “…just curious why they’d spend more money on art development when I’m sure most fans would be fine with the existing character designs…”

Those damned, spend-happy liberals! Sorry, nothing personal Mark. I just couldn’t resist.

  17. Martin Gray Says:

    @ Joe Kach
@ Martin Gray – Read the “JLA: Earth 2″ OGN.

    –J.

What, again? Naaaaah, and I’m a huge fan of Quitely and Morrison. It was pretty average, for them.

  18. Shaun Says:

Let me clarify… Conroy, Daly (or Newbern) and Brown enjoying playing those respective characters isn’t what’s a turnoff. Casting ANYONE ELSE to play those roles in a DC animated film is the turnoff. Even if this “All Star” cast does a good job, it won’t measure up to those other guys, who are basically synonymous with the DCAU.

  19. CTHE3 Says:

Not for nothing, but where’s GL’s ring?

  20. 3GP Says:

At least Green Lantern has white gloves in this one.

  21. SC Says:

“who are basically synonymous with the DCAU.”

This isn’t the DCAU; part of the explanation right there, they want to vary things up.

  22. Runnerx13 Says:

I always liked J’onn’s costume redesign; after all, real men wear pants.

  23. Runnerx13 Says:

By the way, that’s clearly Hal as GL, but is Flash going to be Wally or Barry?

  24. Scott Says:

“Please tell me that Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely are receiving at least some credit for the story.”

Why would they get any credit at all? All they did was retell a silver age story that was previously told in the 60′s.

  25. H_King Says:

    Well this ISN’T the DCAU.

The only reason why some people believe these voice actors are synonymous with the roles is because they’ve heard them for years on tv.
That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the be all end all voices for the characters.

Let me repeat, THIS IS NOT THE DCAU.

Just enjoy these films for the self-contained projects that they are and not try to connect them with past animated portrayals.

  26. Jay-Me-Dee Says:

I may be in the minority, but I don’t want to over-used the Conroy/Hamill/Daly(Or Newbern)/Brown voice overs. At this moment, we’ve had Batman: Gotham Knight, Batman: Arkham Asylum (game) and the upcoming Batman/Superman: Public Enemies with Conroy. While I find that his is the DEFINITIVE Batman voice….much like Luthor is Clancy Brown for me….I do want to see other people’s takes on the voices. It makes it different.

By no means am I saying that I don’t want to hear the usuals….I just don’t mind hearing other people’s takes on them too.

  27. Jay-Me-Dee Says:

On a related note…I wouldn’t have minded seeing Kyle Rayner or Guy Gardner as the Green Lantern in this one too….We’ve had a few with Hal now (New Frontier, First Flight) and John Stewart was the Animated Series GL…I wouldn’t mind seeing a different one in there.

But to me, that’s what makes the DC Animated DVDs great…you can get many interpretations.

  28. Michael Says:

I believe Owlman has it CTHE3

  29. Michael Says:

You know I too im getting tried of lex not having hair

  30. bbiii Says:

Shaun, this isn’t a DCAU story. it is an Animated DC story. So different actors. Like each of the other movies they did had differrnt casts.

    The cast looks awesome.

  31. Ace Says:

This is EXTREMELY disappointing. This isn’t actually the first I’m hearing of this project. It is the first I’m hearing of the details, however. I expected this to be the long awaited Justice League: Worlds Collide DC animated universe DTV. It had that potential.

Lets start at the beginning, shall we? Years ago, when they were getting Justice League Unlimited ready there were plans for a Justice League DTV movie that would bridge the gap between JL and JLU. The movie was to be called “Justice League: World’s Collide” and would involve the League encountering the Crime Syndicate from a parallel dimension. For some reason, the film never made it to production.

As you all likely know, Bruce Timm has had a hand in all of the recent DC animated movies. Though none of them were set in the DCAU. And for years Bruce Timm has stated that they may do it some day, and more recently he’s stated that he might be returning to DCAU projects very soon.

I thought that day had finally come. One of the scheduled DC DTVs was this, a movie called “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths”. The title of the film sounded VERY similar to the concept stated above. To strengthen this possibility one needed only look to the fact that Timm said he may be returning to the DCAU soon, and the big one… Dwayne McDuffie, one of the guiding forces behind JLU was writing the project.

And now we see that this isn’t in the DCAU style, nor does it use the DCAU voice actors. They’ve blown the perfect opportunity to finally tell that story. And now, after making this movie, they’ll probably never get another chance as they won’t be allowed to make the same basic movie twice in two different styles.

    Color me upset.

  32. mike t Says:

It would be cool if the dvd cover had the jla headshots on oneside and crime syndicate headshots on the other like the old jla issues did when they would meet the crime syndicate.

  33. T. AKA Ricky Raw Says:

They lost me at Dwayne McDuffie. Also, can we start having some more DC direct-to-vid animation with no involvement from Bruce Timm whatsoever? I love his stuff, but after over a decade of his involvement in DC animated I really want more fresh takes at this point on the pantheon.

  34. Derek Holtom Says:

ugh. the J’onn costume sucks monkey balls and that will take away from my enjoyment of this project. that costume was the worst

  35. T. AKA Ricky Raw Says:

What annoys me is that these direct-to-vid movies are often close enough to the Timmverse look and style and feel to be evocative of the Timmverse, but different at the same time. I’d rather they go all out and strike out in a totally different non-Timm direction the way The Batman and Brave and the Bold and Teen Titans did, or they place the movies squarely in the Timmverse and leave it at that. But this quasi, pseudo-Timmverse feel where its kind of different but not really I find annoying.

  36. Devil_Hanzo Says:

    @CTHE3

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

Anyways, this looks awesome! I Love the CSA, so this should be a lot of fun.

Add me to the list of people confused about the new cast for Superman, Luthor, and especially Batman. It’s not like Conroy has only been Batman in the DCAU Timmiverse. Conroy has voiced Batman on the Gotham Knight feature which ties to the Nolanverse and recently on the Arkham Asylum video game — Conroy is Batman!

  37. Rock Roche Says:

    no Aquaman?…. sigh.

  38. Josh Says:

Vinnie said:…”They may be trying to vary from the JLU/Timmverse look to make sure people know these are separate stories. Plus, what we call “stylized” others might see at “simplistic.”

I agree with that, and they may be leaving the Timm style out of respect for that niche he carved out. Since he’s producing so much at once, it might be a sign of respect. Don’t forget, we got a somewhat similar story line with the “Justice Lords” – not exactly the same, but similar enough to me that I like having this story set in it’s own continuity.

As an aside, I loved Batman’s voice in “New Frontier.” I wouldn’t change from Conroy, but… I liked it for the 60s setting.

Also, which Flash do you think we’ll get? It looks like Wally, but since we have a Hal instead of John, as used in the Morrison/Quietly story, is there a slim chance we might get a Barry?

Regardless, I now have another reason to live till next spring!

  39. Runnerx13 Says:

Why would they get any credit at all? All they did was retell a silver age story that was previously told in the 60’s.
    ———————-

Because many are speculating that his movie is based off of Morrison’s JLA: Earth 2 book.

  40. Josh Says:

    @ Rock Roche…

I would have liked some Aquaman too. A full classic Justice League would have been awesome!

  41. Gordon Says:

CTHE3: It’s on his right hand. The angle that the right hand is shown, you can see the fingertip and middle joint, but not the base of the finger where the ring would be.

Make a fist and see for yourself!

  42. Noahlot Says:

What’s up with you people? You DO know that Morrison and Quitely didn’t come up with this story, right? I love them both, but that graphic novel was a re-telling of the original story from the 1960s.

Next you’ll be wanting John Byrne credited for creating Lex Luthor! lol!

  43. Capt. Silver Age Says:

When I first heard about this project about a month ago, I was really excited about it. Any chance to see the JL in animated action is welcomed(except for the Teen Titans/anime style). I was hoping it would be “Crisis on Infinite Earths” but hey, I’ll take this. I like the Crime Syndicate and it’ll be fun to see them in animation for the first time(except Owlman, of course). Don’t much care about voices because the actors chosen to voice parts usually sounds very different from their normal voice, so I’ll reserve judgement until hearing/seeing it.Looking forward to it!

  44. bring back conroy! Says:

Why do they keep recasting Batman? Kevin Conroy IS Batman!

  45. winteriscoming Says:

“William Baldwin (Dirty Sexy Money) as Batman”

    Sorry, wrong answer!

Nope, I’ll skip it just for that bit of info.

  46. Jamie Says:

So McDuffie is being credited….are they using his actual script or just the idea from the aborted Worlds Collide film?

  47. Gokitalo Says:

I agree with Ace. I was really hoping this would be the “Justice League: Worlds Collide” story, but it looks like that won’t be the case. Or maybe it is “Worlds Collide,” only rewritten/recasted so that it doesn’t take place in the DCAU. Sigh…

  48. BallsMonkey Says:

To those wondering about Aquaman, remember, Batman’s not in that screenshot either and we know he’s in. I’m sure Arthur is in.

My question, in that first pic, Where’s Hal’s ring?

  49. Mat001 Says:

It’s simple, Bruce Timm wanted to do something that didn’t fit in with the continuity he already established. Hence the recasting that’s been done on these films. The only reason we’ve had Daly, Conroy, Brown and CCH Ponder on “Public Enemies” is because casting director Andrea Romero wanted to work with them on that. And we had Conroy in “Gotham Knight” because they couldn’t get Christan Bale. Otherwise, Timm and company decided to be completely different. The animation styles on most of these are different from the norm because it makes it easier to have them fluid, rather than stiff looking.

The reason people are saying that Morrison and Quietly should be credited is because this is closer to what they did in 2000, as opposed to what Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky did. Fox and Sekowsky may have invented it, but Morrison and Quietly’s work is the clear influence here.

  50. Johnny Blaze Says:

This may mean some cool new Infinite Hero compatible figures…
    THAT could be cool.

  51. Christopher Says:

Can only be jazzed about this!

  52. Runnerx13 Says:

McDuffie just said this on the DC message board:

    “It’s not based on ‘Earth-2.’”

    http://dcboards.warnerbros.com/web/thread.jspa?threadID=2000200315&tstart=0&start=15

  53. 3Dean Says:

I am also interested in when we’ll see Teen Titans: Judas Contract animated movie. I believe it was postponed for Batman: Gotham Knights and we’ve seen Wonder Woman, GL, Public Enemies, and now this with no word on the status of that animated movie. Here’s hoping it is still in the works…

  54. Ace Says:

Gokitalo: And that’s the worst part of it all. Bruce Timm is on board, Dwayne McDuffie is on board, and it looks to follow the exact plot of the postponed/canceled World’s Collide project. DCAU fans have all been waiting for it for years, why couldn’t they simply do the project as it was originally conceived?

Instead we have a worst case scenario. If the project was canceled/on hiatus, there would be hope they could pick up on it at a later date. But by doing the project outside of the DCAU continuity they completely and utterly erase all chances of the original being made.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t necessarily think this will be a bad film, and I’m sure I’ll rather enjoy it. But I’m personally disappointed that they didn’t go with the original plan.

My only hope is that perhaps the reason they scrapped this project as the DCAU film bridge between Justice League and Justice League Unlimited is because they came up with something even better along the way. Something that we’ll see down the road.

  55. Samuel Says:

i like hal and all but Kyle was in the story if your gonna have wally might as well have kyle i mean he’s had what? two episodes on superman? an appereance on justice League and if i’m not mistake duck dodgers while Hal has had two movies (that Frointer movie i count as a hal jordan movie) plus live action in two years why not give kyle time to shine?

didnt read the story explaining J’onn’s new look but loved it never understood the straps and underwear with no pants but anyway excited about this but thought it was gonna be the Justice League and the Justice society team up sigh was sorta looking forward to that…

  56. Mike Says:

OMFG i just crapped my pants with excitement! :D

  57. jbw Says:

No to the Baldwin as Batman. The others are okay.

  58. jbw Says:

Mark Harmon as Superman is also a little weird and old for the role. Maybe He’ll headslap Flash.

  59. Jamesb3 Says:

A previous poster was right. Morrison and Quitely did not come up with that plot. They simply retold a Silver Age story. That would be like giving John Byrne credit for creating Superman because he retold his story in “Man of Steel”.

  60. Anonymous Says:

BallsMonkey: I was thinking that too. Till I looked that the left hand again. You Can only see the bottom of the fingers. The ring is probably at the top.

  61. demoncat Says:

cool can not wait for wanted to see the crime sydicate for so long in other dc versions as for the judas contract resurected someone should tell suggest that to Diana the overlord of the dcu in other media. though still waiting for the animators to do kingdom come and dark knight returns animated films

  62. Scott Says:

Why would they get any credit at all? All they did was retell a silver age story that was previously told in the 60’s.
    ———————-

Because many are speculating that his movie is based off of Morrison’s JLA: Earth 2 book.

    —-

Again, why would they get any credit at all? JLA: Earth 2 was based on the original Crime Syndicate story. All they did was set it in the present with a few tweaks.

  63. comic_guru01 Says:

just cuz its not based on Morrison and Quitely’s Earth 2 doesnt mean it wasnt obviously inspired by it. I think its really crappy of McDuffie to take a story by another creator put a slightly differnt spin on it and pass it off as his own idea. Must be his way of getting back at DC editorial for firing him from JLA.

  64. Phatfreemiguel Says:

Looks good … but why not Kevin Conroy?

  65. Matthew Aikenbthomasdaveaconburgerfarley Says:

    Why Superman, Why?!?

  66. Kevin Huxford Says:

@jlw That Mark Harmon head slap reference is hilarious. Coming from having spent 3 out of the last 5 weeks in the hospital where the best TV option was the constant NCIS blocks on USA, I was well primed to laugh at that joke.

I really can’t believe all of the people getting their panties in a bunch about the voice casting decisions and other little things (some of which they’re just making assumptions about). It’s a freaking animated movie giving us something we’d never see in live action. Unclench and give it a chance.

  67. DWright Says:

Just to chime in, I too would like to see them walk away into more creative territories from the Timmverse. I really liked those for their time, but i was hoping that they were actually going to try to give us a DTV experience that resembles contemporary comics in terms of art and story. I think most of these resemble more the stories of the 70′s and 80′s in that they are aimed at younger audiences with the complexity of today’s books, or after Iron Man and Dark Knight, today’s movies. I hope the delay in Judas Contract means they’re trying to get it right, as opposed to the Timm version of the story.

And didn’t they do this story, or a version of it, already on the JLU show? Sure they didn’t call him Owlman or Ultraman, but it was the same story.

  68. Gokitalo Says:

Ace: yup, I agree on all points. It could certainly end up being a great film, but I’m a little sad they didn’t stick to the original plan. Although if they ended up coming up with an even better Justice League/JLU project in its place, I’ll happily watch it.

  69. Elfajah Says:

How do you make an animated Batman movie and NOT cast Kevin Conroy.

  70. Chris Says:

Eh, without Conroy, Daly (or Newbern), or Brown, I’m not terribly interested. I know this is not the DCAU, but those are the voices I associate with those characters.

Maybe I’ll watch it when it eventually comes on the Cartoon Network, but I’m not spending money on it.

  71. Chris Bechtloff Says:

    I can’t wait. I loved JLA Earth 2.

  72. bizarro Says:

    No JSA. No Crisis.

  73. Michael Says:

I love NCIS and I Love that the Actor who Play Gibbs is playing Superman as far as what they look like who care Superman was in his first appear look like Lex so who care what they look like and who care if the story been done before

  74. JUDASCONTRACTPLEASE Says:

This concept was already done & done VERY well in the context of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED. If weighed against the JUDAS CONTRACT, which was very kidified to fit in TITANS GO, then it’s a no brainer as to which one to go with. The Judas Contract was mentioned in the first batch of DTVs & has yet to be made. It would feature enough adult matter to separate the two versions of a similar story & put a deserved spotlight on the Titans franchise who will be celebrating their anniversary.

  75. Cray_ws Says:

    Didn’t WarnerBros/DC get the memo?

    Cell-animation is dead!

  76. Craig MacD. Says:

2 questions: where is Green Lantern’s ring? (he’s not wearing it in that pic)

    and

is there any word on who’s playing GL, Flash and Wonder Woman, and J’onn?

  77. Kevin Says:

Hal’s ring is on the back of his right hand.

  78. BBagley Says:

To everyone who thinks we just can’t see GL’s ring, look closer at his fist and then your own. Notice you don’t see the end section of your fingertips when you make a fist, that only leaves two sections left, which is what we see in the image. He doesn’t have a ring on, and judging by his expression and body language, he’s none to happy about it.

  79. kow626 Says:

all-star voice cast huh? like people that watch cartoons care. as long as it’s the best voice for the character, that’s all i care about. a celeb name lends no credibility in my book.

  80. chrishaley Says:

    kow626 – You said it.

  81. Clegane, Sandor Says:

If the film credited ANYONE for inspiration, it should be: CRIME SYNDICATE CREATED BY GARDNER FOX AND MIKE SEKOWSKY.

Especially since Dwayne McDuffie has already revealed the story is a departure from Fox’s original CRISIS ON EARTH 3 story from the 1960s.

Anyway, it looks cool. Can’t wait to see Johnny Quick vs. the Flash, and Power Ring vs. Green Lantern!

  82. Gokitalo Says:

This concept was already done & done VERY well in the context of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED.

Sort of. That story, “A Better World,” was indeed going to originally be a Crime Syndicate story, but as we saw, the Justice Lords ended up being (a) physically identical to the Justice League and (b) more misguided than sinister. “Worlds Collide” would have dealt with the genuine Crime Syndicate, who are as bad as the JLA are good. You can read more about it here:
    http://jl.toonzone.net/episodeC/episodeC.htm

  83. BallsMonkey Says:

To Anonymous: No, look at it again. You can see the whole fist, on both hands. The ring is missing.

  84. madmike Says:

Will Aquaman be in this. I love the DCU, but I have new clue about the storylines, arcs, etc. I Just like flat out cool super hero stuff and DC dudes are cooler than Marvel. My favorite hero is old Aqua-man. He’s in serious need of some love from DC. They need to make a wicked movie like GL or the other DC animated movies. They need to make him a maniac, not some sensitive weirdo. He’s the king of the fricken seas for crying out loud. The sea is filled w/ crazy stuff.

You guys sound knolegeable about all this stuff, whens my boy gonna show up in something cool for more than a cameo like he did in New Fronteir?

  85. JohnnyZito Says:

    Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

  86. drixg555 Says:

James Woods as Owlman? Perfect match. Always thought of Owlman as being as snarky and arrogant. We’ll just wait and see with the other guys.

  87. Victor Says:

I think it is great that with SM/BM Public Enemies, GL First Flight, Gotham Knights and now this, DC is officially burying the HORRIBLE art and writing style of the “Timmverse”. The DCU reimmagined as a villain-centric world drawn like a reject version of Dick Tracey was NOT official. Blocky stiff LOUSY. Watching Timmverse episodes of Superman constantly getting whupped by scrubs and Batman whupping on gods while Lex Luthor is portrayed as some kind of untouchable anti-hero/deity got tiresome as well. And then there was that awful art. But since SM Doomsday (TERRIBLE) DC has been getting it right with their DTV’s (trying at least). One thing worries me. Dwayne McDuffie. He has always turned in the WORST most villain-centric DCAU scripts of them all. He really hates these characters! Remember the JLU’s when that scrub from the future and some cyber-punks kills the ENTIRE JL. Or when the android whups the entire JL (until godly Luthor saves the day). Then there was his terrible run on the JL comic where the villains “shame” the JL into protecting the poor villaind from being persecuted by the “evil” government law enforcement who wanted to punish them for thir crimes (perish the thought). See a pattern in his scripts? Thank god DC fired him. Him attached to this project is not a good look AT ALL.

  88. John Duncan Yoyo Says:

    >Didn’t WarnerBros/DC get the memo?

    >Cell-animation is dead!

    Long live cell animation.

Do we have any clues to what else is in the pipe line? We seem to be finding out what is next around the release of the next project.

  89. JC Freak Says:

I’d actually like them to do Batman: Long Halloween more than anything. Or possible “Final Crisis” There would be no way to dodge having to animate Superboy aka Connor Kent.

They’ve blown the perfect opportunity to finally tell that story. And now, after making this movie, they’ll probably never get another chance as they won’t be allowed to make the same basic movie twice in two different styles.

James Woods as Owlman? Perfect match. Always thought of Owlman as being as snarky and arrogant. We’ll just wait and see with the other guys.

Sounds really cool and looks like fun, but…I HATE that they went with the “kewl” Martian Manhunter look. Just reminds me too much of that horrible misdirection they took J’Onn in his miniseries from a couple of years ago.

Hey not to set off topic but can anyone give me overview of. New York Car Insurance Reform 295 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10007 (646) 351-0824 They can be down the block from me. I was wondering if they were a good insurance company. I need to get coverage, it is the law you know, but I have to have a good price price plus I’d prefer friendly service.
