Deadline Hollywood has reported that Inglorious Basterds star Christopher Waltz, has been cast as the villain Chudnofsky in Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet opposite Seth Rogen. Some may have been dissappointed by Cage’s exodus from the project, but I loved Waltz in Basterds and I think could bring the proper amount of spice and possible cartoony malevolence the movie needs. This is just the kind of break an actor like him needs.
What do you readers think of the new casting call?

I’m still holding out for that “Rogen out” headline, personally.

What was the last GOOD movie Nic Cage was in?
I think him leaving the project is the best fucking thing that could have happened to it.

When was the last time Cage was in ANYTHING good? He’s way overrated, in my humble opinion.

Waltz absolutely stole the show in Basterds! He’s a fantastic choice!

Just the break an actor like Waltz needs? I’m pretty sure Inglourious Basterds was that break, and that’ll be seen by way more people than the Green Hornet movie.

Seth Rogan as the Green Hornet is a non-starter.

Add me to the list of “Drop Seth Rogen”. I was actually hoping that the announcement was going to be that HE was going to play the Green Hornet. Ah, well.

Christoph Waltz would actually make a good Green Hornet. I hope this movie is good, they’ve had such a tough time putting the production together. Reckon he’ll be a good villian provided the script is good enough.
